Just a polite request to the readership that for the time being you manually copy in the article titles when you are pasting links, please.

We've had to disable the URL parsing module temporarily as there was an exploit discovered in it. While the site admins are working hard to upgrade vBulletin to a new version that doesn't have this exploit, we'd appreciate it if you could include the linked page title rather than leave posts with the full URL (which is messy and not easy to know what you are linking to).

The easiest way to do this (I find) is to make your post as normal, then quickly hit edit and modify the code as follows:

From
PHP:
www.url.com

To
PHP:
TITLE

This can be done with four keystrokes and shouldn't be a big burden.

Your help is appreciated.

Dear all - we installed a new URL parser earlier. You should now find that your URLs appear in the post as links with the title of the page you linked to replacing the address.

If you spot any problems with this, please let us know.
