Too bad sample footage wasn’t behind any cars - really curious to see how legible license plates are...

Thanks that was an interesting peek. Also would have liked to have seen cars driving in front as to plate readibility. For some reason from the little I read about it, I thought this was going to be truncated video segments or frames.

Quality is MUCH better than I thought it would be, but honestly that quality isn't very good. I've seen Chinese knock offs that are this grainy and unclear at night. Ugh, hopefully this improves quickly!

Great quality. However, I would really like to have the date/time and even GPS locations added to each frame. Would be very useful in court.

For example, got a ticket for speeding at 130km/h and was really driving 115 km/h so the recording would have proven their radar got the wrong reading.

That’s what proof of calibrations is for.

Anyway, instead of some number, when you really need it, you can calculate speed based on frame rate and distance traveled.

Back on topic, v9 looks to be an amazing update.

As to the dash cam, I think it is a great supplement to regular fisheye dash cam to record license plates.

The quality seems to be pretty good. I’m thinking if you can read street signs you should be able to see license plates, etc.

Maybe answered elsewhere, but is it continuously recording? When you press the icon to “record 10 minutes” of footage, is the start point from when you press the icon or some time before? Seems to me the latter is useful for accidents while the former has little utility.

The car records on a continuous loop (while the car is on) until you disable recording.
