After many requests from Tesla owners. We are now offering the BlackVue Dual Dash Cams. This cameras have many different settings. You can leave them to record 24/7, to record by motion sensors and also to just record when the car is on. This carmeras also record sound. The front camera records with a resolution of 1080HD and the rear at 720.

Why do I need a Dash Cam?
    1- A car accident
    2- A parking accident
    3- Insurance fraud
    4- Catch the unexpected
    5- Document your road trips
    6- Police stops

Bellow you'll see what they look like installed on a Model X and also on a Model S.

    Installation on Model X
Our main focus when installing these dash cams or any other aftermarket gadgets on your vehicle is to make it look like a factory installed option. We go above and beyond to achieve a seamless and natural look. Most of our attention to details are in places you'll never see..
On this Model X per customer request we installed the camera off the windshield. To accomplish this we custom made a bracket to mount the camera on and then attach it to the housing of the rear view mirror.

In order to run the cables from the mirror up to the headliner we had to custom build a channel that runs parallel to the factory strip. By doing so, it helped us achieve that factory look on the vehicle.

    Installation on a Model S
On this car we mounted the camera to the windshield. A clear double sided tape holds it in place. We can easily remove it at any given time without causing any damage to the windshield

You will not find a better and cleaner installation than the one we provide. Guaranteed.

Nice job! I definitely need this on our X in Vegas!
Would you consider selling that extra cable channel to X owners outside of your area?

Why did you choose to mount the rear camera on the glass rather than the black plastic trim? Seems like it would interfere with adding or replacing window tint.

Not all Tesla owners want the camera adhered to the plastic trim. It's definitely our preference but at the end of the day we're being hired to do a job just how the costumer wants it.

Would you recommend including the Power Magic Pro for the BlackVue cameras?

    Hi,

I'm getting my 90DX in the next week or so. I would love to have a BlackVue installed by you guys but I live in Atlanta. Could I purchase the cable channel? If so, how much would it be?

    Thanks,

PMP not necessary with Blackvue--the continuous 12v power draw is minimal, and the DC-to-DC converter recharges the 12v from the traction pack.

    Exactly what JPP said.
On conventional vehicles We strongly recommend getting a secondary lithium ion battery if the camera is set up to turn on when it detects motion as it will drain the battery. For Teslas this isn't an issue since the DC to DC converter recharges the 12v battery

I will be taking orders for those who wish to buy one.

I'm in Boynton Beach and very interested to get the dash cam installation done the week of July 25th. Are you able to install the N.V.X. Bass boost subwoofer at the same time? I will drive 3 hours fron Boynton so if it's possible to get both installed at the same time it will be better.

How much do you charge to replace the battery (that the GPS, and thus time and positioning rely on)?

    Thanks.

Bummer. That's why my Sig's Blackvue has been disabled for over a year -- essentially useless without timestamp (and GPS).

Something to consider for future offerings.

There is a video on YouTube that shows you how to do it. We'll put it in consideration and I'll message you in a couple of days.
