My delivery is Monday, I'm still waiting for the purchase agreement with the final numbers to give to the bank. What's the process like, what should I expect? I'm a little nervous it's Thursday and if they get me the paperwork late the bank will only have tomorrow to process everything.

So I emailed my specialist and he said they're "backed up" and it might take another 24-48 hours. Isn't this *sugar* auto generated, this shouldn't be that complicated. Now I'm really worried that I won't be able to get the money finance in time for a Monday delivery. :-(

It sucks, and I hope it all works out for you. It seems so crazy that Tesla doesn't have their process ironed out, but then it reminded me of something:

I go to a restaurant that has terrible service. Takes forever to get seated and to get anything you ask for once you do. The seats and tables suck. But it's always packed. And I still go. Why? The food is amazing. Basically, a night out to this place is knowingly signing up for an hour+ of waiting and annoyances, but then all is forgotten once the delicious food arrives and my belly is full.

That's how I'm trying to look at this whole process with Tesla... just bring me my darn food!

I was in same situation, my ISA told me they have influx number of contract that need to work on. Finally received my final contract 2 days before the delivery date and it took 1 hour 40 minutes for them to sign (after i signed) and send it back to me.
    Good luck!

Well, not getting the car delivered on Monday because f*cking Tesla couldn't get the *sugar* together quick enough. It's Friday 7pm and I'm just getting the final paperwork which doesn't give my bank time to cut the check. The amazing part is the paper work is so so basic, it's the same numbers for most people and it's nothing fancy. I'm so pissed off.

I'm in a similar situation - scheduled for delivery on Tuesday but no paperwork yet. But…I know about how much the car will be, just unsure of 'fees' and other additional 'small' charges. So if I don't get the paperwork in time, I'll take a check for what I think is the correct amount, but will probably be a little on the short side. I'll just put the rest on my credit card. They should let me do this, right?

I have been told that due to the delays in providing final contract paperwork, Tesla is accepting personal checks at time of delivery. you might want to ask about this option.

Delivery scheduled for Monday at 1030. I JUST e-signed the “Final DelyDocs” which were emailed to me from Tesla at 2019(est).

Days ago I too had similar questions about bottom line payments etc. and when the ISA was unable to provide specifics I just specificed that I would like to pay 25K OOP and finance the rest. Whatever that was. (((Shrugg)))

Well i just learned my loan will be ~25.8K

Additionally I just logged into my Tesla account and received a new form to accomplish an ACH transfer. Done.

“Balance $0.00 Your Model 3 is fully paid.”

Same situation here (delivery on Tuesday). Just received the signed agreement an hour ago (Sunday night). But my ISA told the bank that they would accept something as simple as a FedEx tracking number as proof that the payment is on the way, and they'll go ahead with delivery on that basis. We'll see how that plays out tomorrow...

Reading this has me nervous. I am scheduled for delivery tomorrow and have a check from the credit union that I will fill out with the final amount and give to Tesla. I have an entire packet of information for them to go along with it. I do have the contract in my account but don't see where I could sign ... Guessing I will do that tomorrow. I will post here again if I run into any issues.

I have a Monday delivery and spoke with my delivery center Friday end of day because I hadn’t received my purchase agreement. They said not to worry and to bring a personal check if the paperwork wasn’t sent to me in time to get a cashier’s check. Saturday night my MVPA showed in my account, but the file was corrupt so had to call and have it emailed to me.

Does anyone know who to have a cashier’s check made out to? My MVPA only lists online payment options.

You make the check to either “Tesla, Inc.” or “Tesla Motors, Inc.”, according to my ISA. Either option will work fine.

I just made my payment online through Tesla prior to the delivery so it showed a balance due of Zero. On delivery day it took me like 5 minutes to sign a few papers and was so much easier than any dealership car purchase I have ever made. I financed through Tesla, because I got a good interest rate and wasn't worth the hassle of re-applying and jumping through hoops to save 7 dollars per month.

I was very pro-active however, and did not let anyone slack when it came to my delivery. I sort of bugged them to ensure everything was all set to go for delivery but maybe i'm a bit different than most.

If you are trading in a vehicle and a lien is listed on title, make sure the delivery team doesn't hand back the lien release letter(s) :)

They did that on my delivery day, I didn't realize it until my ISA contacted me the following business day asking about them.had to FedEx them back to Tesla, they provided the envelope.

Leaving for Tesla in about 30 Minutes!!!!! Appointment is at 1030(est)!! More excited than nervous....

"I got that "excited/scared" feeling. Like 98% excited, 2% scared. Or maybe it's more. It could be, it could be 98% scared, 2% excited but that's what makes it so intense, it's so - confused. I can't really figure it out."

I felt the same way and it all worked out. Tesla is pretty chill about the timing of the payment.

You have the right mindset to be successful in life. Don't let ANYONE imply you're too aggressive. There's just another post this morning about someone's pickup is this afternoon and they haven't heard anything from the DS and should they have. I replied why don't you just call the DC and confirm everything's on track for my pickup this afternoon?

I'm a Native New Yorker here (Although I moved to Philadelphia 11 years ago) I was 2.5 blocks away from Ground Zero on 9/11 that day. I was underground on the subway when the first plane hit and I was getting my shoes shined I saw on the TV's at the shoeshine place the 1st tower in flames. As I walked up to my office I saw all kinds of paper fluttering around outside on the ground level and didn't realize what was going on. When I reached my office I tried to call my partner but the lines were busy. I felt my building shake when the second plane hit. I finally got through to my partner on the phone. He was about a half a mile away and saw both planes hit. He was going to try to go home uptown 6 miles away. I decided I was going to walk home too. On my way to the elevators I saw my boss coming into the building. He said to me I should STAY IN PLACE. I said NO WAY, I'm leaving and going HOME. I walked 6 miles Uptown in Manhattan, consciously avoiding major landmarks for fear buildings like the Empire State were going to be bombed. I was FAR enough away from Ground Zero when the Towers fell.

My point in relaying that story is in life one has to be PROACTIVE and YOU have to control your own Destiny.

Enjoy your car and have and productive, happy and safe time!
