My wife's new P85D (replacing Siggy, the P85) will be called MAXX

...the P85D has "quickness" (3.2 in 0-100kph) ...MAX

...the P85D has "traction" (AWD)...MAX

...the P85D has "torque" (AWD + 690 H.P.)...MAX

...the P85D has "coolness" (Autopilot / auto-park / retrieve)...MAX

...the P85D is as "environmentally sound as a car of it's capabilities can be"...MAX

...the P85D is simply "MAXX"...

For now it is... until P110D "supermax" comes out. Then, of course, there will be "ultramax", etc.

hmm... I've renamed my S85 (subthread? nah.), after some thought (okay, I was sitting and charging at the Edison SuperCharger and had time on my hands).

I wanted something almost anthropomorphic - I'd like to be able to refer to my car as an individual. It's almost as much a companion as my smartphone, and it still has a bit of the flavor of being out there ("Edge City" doesn't cut it for me). Currently I wound up with RDanl - 'Dan' if I'm talking to the car (you know you do), and a cross between R. Daneel Olivaw and Dan'l Boone.

Well, it'll last until another bout of idle time at an SC.
