Whats Your VIN#....When was it assigned...Predicting SIG X Deliveries

Waiting...Waiting...Waiting....
And with little news from Tesla, thought I'd put another thread together to collect info (and pass some time)

IF people are getting VIN #'s assigned (I believe at there are at least a few of you out there)....and
IF VIN #'s are assigned at the beginning of the manufacturing cycle...and
IF we have some decent data on VIN # assignment days, delivery dates and manufacturing cycle time....

We might be able to anticipate expected delivery dates..

Please provide and Info on original reservation#, VIN#, date VIN# was provided, and X delivery date (when it is committed)

(or if we can add this info to the ModelXTracker...it would be great)

Hopefully all of us waiting can get a better idea of when we might expect our cars....
At least there will be another thread to check every hour : )

Mark Z...I use ModelXTracker...It seems to have place for delivery date assignment...but I don't seen any data on VIN assignment
and a correlation between VIN assignment date and delivery date...If that could be added to the Tracker it would be great...

As we get more data to do some analysis on, I'll create some reports and/or graphs to show this information. For now, you can see this info (except VIN #) by extracting all the data using Data Export under Graphs, Reports & Export menu.

I just also updated the highest VIN # assigned. The highest VIN in the tracker is now 00015.

Ugh. More alphabetical disrimination! Having a last name that starts with a letter toward the end of the alphabet I've dealt with this my whole life! Haha! ;-)

Oh, man, Tesla must have mislaid my lottery ticket: yesterday a bright red Confirm button appeared on My Tesla, even though I configured on 9/17 and have an email from Tesla on 9/25 confirming my confirmation.

I was Sig X reservation #325...and this morning I got VIN #00683. Sad panda...

Sequence # 1192, VIN 415, assigned 10/22/15.

My assumption, based on all the VINs being assigned is that they're beginning actual production of Model X at Fremont on the regular line (not the like the original Founders that were much more hand assembled). This also probably means they're doing some batching of cars based upon expected part availability and when one configured/confirmed.

I've been highly skeptical of the whole "all cars delivered before the end of the year" line I keep getting but it may not be that far fetched.

Sig873 -> VIN 525. In the ocean of randomness, there is a minor correlation here. What state are you in? Color, options?

Ours is Obsidian Black/Black+Ashe, 22", Ludicrous but without the trailer hitch. Maybe they are grouped in batches by colors and options?

I don't think Tesla has ever said that. The e-mail from Tesla said that all reservation holders would be invited to *configure* their cars before the end of the year, but I believe that applies only to US reservation holders as I believe those outside the US never got that particular e-mail.

There has also been some speculation or third party reports that they "heard" that all confirmed US signature depositors would get their cars by the end of the year, and I think that is definitely possible assuming Tesla starts getting seats and windshields in the necessary quantities.

Right, yeah, I should have said, all US Signature cars delivered before the end of the year. Also, that's not something I got from a third party but from several different Tesla employees who are either delivery specialists or inside sales people.

I keep forgetting that there are other reservations out there that aren't Signature reservations. Anyway, sorry for the confusion.
