Could you take a picture in the sun? All of these look great indoors, it’s when you put it in the sun when the defect really shows. Mine looks exactly like that indoors..... but outside is a different story.
Here is one I saw that did have the defect. Same outdoor light from my car above. You can definitely make out that the car has the issue. I don’t see anything like this on my car.

Looks like the body shop is going to take 3 to 5 weeks since they're so backed up. I'm not liking the reputation of the shops they're using around here, so I may just go with rematching to a new VIN.

So frustrating but I'm so close to the finish line. I just hope whatever VIN I get next doesn't have this same mismatch issue. The wait continues...

Mine was sent back to the body shop a 2nd time because it still wasn't right. Now I see my VIN # is gone so maybe they are going to give me a new car. I'm now on my 3rd delivery date.

Wow...I am incredibly sorry Faustic. I can only imagine the frustration :(

I’ve seen pearl white do this on other cars too. Seems to be tricky. My S seemed to do this where the body went from metal body to the plastic bumper. And my 2013 WRX which was pearl white did the same. Almost like the paint on the plastic just appears a slightly different shade and more apparent at different angles. Or maybe they are all sprayed independently and that’s why. Not sure. (Ie bumper is painted separate from the car, etc. so they really are different batches of paint. )
Same as mine on MS..couldn't agree more.

It's funny seeing my car's picture get floated on here from GigiM3 :)
I recently made a post when I went to pick up the car on reddit

In summary they cracked my charge port and the bumper is aligned worse. I don't think I saw any improvement though I don't have as detailed before/after pictures as Indy3 Sadly.

I think the part that gets me is that the rear suffers from more mismatch than the front bumper.

@Zoglog, how long did they have your car for? Dropped mine off Wednesday to be repainted.

A delivery specialist just called to ask if I had any questions prior to delivery (5/28). I asked if my Team Pearl White car was on the premises and if they could verify any paint mismatch - I don't want to make the 2 hour drive if so. The specialist said there is a strict order from corporate not to allow any deliveries of mismatched cars. The specialist is going to "get eyes on the car" and call me back by the end of the day.

Very happy with communication with Tesla throughout process thus far.

Still waiting for a resolution on mine. My Model 3 has been at the service center longer than my home lol....
I guess in the months it takes them to get it back maybe they'll also fix the charging port they broke....
