Why? - New Inventory Model Y Priced w/ FSD

When I search my local inventory, I see that there are some options to buy MYP with FSD already priced into it. Is this car any different than buying one with Basic Auto Pilot and then upgrading later on? Like, does this car have newer Software or hardware? An inventory Red MYP same configuration without FSD is $11,000 cheaper.

It just came to me that this may allow buyers to finance FSD into their loan as opposed to buying FSD after your purchase the car.

One thing I've noticed looking at inventory cars recently is that the inventory discounts are usually a whole number percentage of the MSRP. (For example, the inventory price might be 5.00% or 6.00% off of MSRP, but not 5.50% or 5.25%.)

But the vehicles shown above with FSD included have discounts that aren't whole number percentages of the MSRP, until you realize that it's only because they're not giving you a percentage discount on the FSD option. But if subtract $12k from the above prices, you find that the inventory discounts for these two Model Y's is exactly 2.00%.

There's nothing stopping one from getting an inventory car and adding FSD to it when checking out.
