Why Tesla keeps parked car idling for long?

My MS takes 40-42 min from parked/idle state to enter sleep after drive (easily tracked via Teslafi or Tessie app). - Without any action which could cause car to wake up.

If I don't drive car but only open/close trunk to pick up stuff, car goes back to full sleep much faster.

Is there any reason why Tesla doesn't force it faster after short drive?

I'm not sure anyone knows the exact algorithm... I believe part of the answer is that the car runs the coolant pumps for a while after a drive to clear out heat in the battery, or even out the temps... The car might also run the fan to dry out the AC radiator to prevent mildew and bad odors, if you've used the AC during your drive. None of this is necessary if you just open a door.
The car might also decide that it needs to top up the 12V for longer...
