According to the Tesla website a Model S P100D 500 mile range is approximately what can be achieved at a 45 MPH speed on level ground, no headwind, 19 inch wheels, etc. If you want 600 or more miles simply drive slower. At about 25 MPH the estimated range is easily over 600 miles.
