Has anyone had any roof leaking issues with the Zep puck mounts Tesla uses? It looks like some people get the pucks with flashing and some people don’t. Without flashing the pucks would surely leak over time…
I have not had any problems. The leak we had was caused by the holes they used to mount the safety harness to. When they out in the metal piece to seal it up, it was not lined up just right. They fixed it very quickly!

An anecdote: when the company I worked for started installing PV, it was common to just embed L-feet in high quality roof sealant right to the comp. shingle.
Many of these systems still are watertight today, and we just celebrated our 20 year anniversary. Some companies today are moving away from full sized flashings to "Microflashings" which are basically a large 2-3" sealing washer that you probably embed in sealant right to the comp without layering in with the courses. The more things change the more they stay the same lol.
I'm only 1.5 years post install. I didn't see them installing any flashing and am a bit unsure exactly how that would work. No issues so far. With the neoprene-like gasket and injected sealant I wouldn't expect issues. I'm more worried about the drill holes when they missed a beam and the holes for the anchors like @morph3ous experienced.
