    Australian Model Y Waiting Room

Hi everyone, Im an Aussie who lives in Hong Kong (Hong Kong forum virtually non existent). The cars we get would be very similar spec to Australia. I just took delivery of my model Y standard range red on white interior on Saturday. I was constantly on this forum to see what people thought...

Great to hear you got your car. Just one question - How did you find the suspension compared to how it felt when you test drove the vehicle?

That is great news as I will probably put my order in by the end of this month…. Helps address the only real concern I had with the car

How did you find the ride quality compared to when you test drove it? Trying to get hints as to whether the ones delivered in 2023 have the comfort suspension.

Describe your initial impressions upon new delivery of 2023 Model Y

So I guess you just live with the tire pressure warning on all the time? The warning comes before 38psi according to my understanding.

Describe your initial impressions upon new delivery of 2023 Model Y

I can understand if the performance model has stiffer performance but the regular models should really have it. Ironic that currently only the performance has it. Reviewers have said the ride on the performance was better than the RWD one they tested before.

Describe your initial impressions upon new delivery of 2023 Model Y

One thing I am considering is tire pressure. Tesla recommends 42PSI. Interestingly the EV6 and Ioniq 5 recommends 36PSI and they are heavier cars…. Mercedes EQA is 40PSI and polestar 2 is similar to Tesla. Audi Q4 e tron is 32PSI as is the BMW ix1…. All of which are heavier than the model Y...

    Australian Model Y Waiting Room

I see quite a few of them on the road but they do prefer foreign brands though. Not sure if it’s a CCP thing or just a prestige thing to them. Every 2nd or 3rd car here is a Tesla. The financial and tax incentives to buy electric are huge here as taxes on internal combustion cars are huge as...

Describe your initial impressions upon new delivery of 2023 Model Y

Hi everyone. I am very close to purchasing a model Y. Biggest concern is the ride. I was only able to test drive a 2022 build in HK. It is not confirmed by Tesla whether the 2023 Model Ys (right hand drive) exported from Shanghai to Australia, UK, and HK have the comfort suspension. We know...

    Australian Model Y Waiting Room

You know its funny....I keep test driving so many electric cars and they all have their issues or compromises (did the Kia and about to do the EQA Mercedes). The base Model Y seems to be the outright value proposition for me. - cost, practicality and I am used to the Tesla ecosystem already...

I test drove one a few weeks ago but it was a 2022 build and the ride was too firm for my taste. I spoke with them and they cannot confirm the comfort suspension.

HI everyone. When your Model Ys arrive, can you share your thoughts on the suspension and ride? Tesla has not officially confirmed that the new Model Ys out of Shanghai have comfort suspension for the export models (they started fitting the comfort suspension from January 2023 at the factory)...
