    Punctured seat! Screw it!

+1 on finding a good leather repair guy. A few years ago I took my brand new G63 to the powdercoater and had removed the brush guard and had it in the back cargo area (seats folded down) to save a few minutes (instead of removing it when I got there). I had a momentary lapse in judgement and...

Consistent driver side rattle at speed

100% it's the wheel wells. I had the same noise driving me crazy for about 3 months and ended up using a strip of black gaffer tape to secure the edge of the wheel well to the fender itself. Fixed it on the first drive.

    Rattle: SOLVED.

This is more of a public service announcement than anything, but I'll preface it with a bit of background. I picked my car (2019 Dual Motor Performance) in March. I felt the initial build quality was better than most I've seen, and the car was absolutely silent from day 1. No creaks, rattles...

    Anyone have this spoiler?

Keep in mind that a lot of these spoilers are just open source molds taken from other similar sized sedans. I don't think anybody would intentionally take the time to create a mold for a spoiler that is 6 inches short on either end. I happen to know for a fact that at least one of the Model 3...

Black Model 3 with white interior

Hard to see the white with my 15% tint, but I am glad I went that route. I think the black/white contrast is a great look.

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Finally got around to taking some better photos of my wheels. They are a set of custom made Klassen ID M10R Monoblock Forged in a staggered 20x10.5" and 20x8.5" setup, with Michelin Pilot Sport 4s EVT's in 235/35/20 & 275/30/20. Klassen had to alter the design slightly to account for the correct...

Driving with Sunshades (Top and Rear) - Keeping the Wife Happy

FWIW - I have both the sunshades. Combined with my 15% Tint, the car is pretty dark on the inside. So much so, that with sunglasses on, the rear window visibility is extremely limited. Living in sunny SoCal this isn't really a problem, but I wouldn't recommend the rear sunshade with a (dark)...

Aftermarker Sound Upgrade of 3 Front 4" speakers

dfwatt, What method did you use to get solid connection to the front wiring harnesses? I'd be concerned about the longevity and current using the headers that are referenced above. Were you able to get more wire, or did you find an easier solution?

    Any Model 3 Owner Cyclists?

Former Professional. I find the trunk is large enough for my disc brake road bike by folding down the back seat. Can even fit it without removing the front wheel as long as you rotate the handlebars to drop the wheel between the front seat-backs. That being said, I have always been a fan of the...

    New Shoes

Finally got my new wheels! They are a set of custom made Klassen ID M10R Monoblock Forged in a staggered 20x10.5" and 20x8.5" setup, with Michelin Pilot Sport 4s EVT's in 235/35/20 & 275/30/20. Klassen had to alter the design slightly to account for the correct offset and hub/rotor clearance for...

    Cruise control not available

+1 Same thing happened on 12.1.2. Issue was resolved by re-formatting the corrupted USB drive. I had (one day previously) removed it without saving due to a Sentry alert, and the autopilot/cruise stopped working the moment I re-inserted the drive.

    Sports car enthusiast opinions wanted

I posted this in another thread, but I hope this provides some input: My weekend car is an AMG GT, V8 Bi-Turbo. This is a 'track focused' machine that I have had tuned (ECU/Downpipes) to a bit under 650hp. This cars main limiting factor is traction, as even a light tap of the gas and the rear...

    P3D+ Acceleration

I put mine on the rear shelf behind the center headrest on the plastic piece. It's almost like it was meant to be there, and I can see the blue light blinking in the rear view mirror to know when it's on!

To wrap or not to wrap...

I have owned a lot of different vehicles over the past 20 years or so, and I have never really thought to wrap any one of them until I picked up my 3. I'm not sure what it is about the car, (or Tesla's in general) but it seems like (compared to other car brands) a LOT of owners wrap them...

Top Gear Magazine: Model 3 Performance is faster around a track than the BMW M3!

FWIW - my weekend car is an AMG GT, V8 Bi-Turbo. This is a 'track focused' machine that I have had tuned (ECU/Downpipes) to a bit under 650hp. This cars main limiting factor is traction, as even a light tap of the gas and the rear tires spin. I have gotten myself in a bit of trouble with this...
