    Model 3 Accessories

Hey all, Got frunk + trunk pneumatic struts delivered from Taptes last week. Just installed yesterday and they work beautifully. Vey easy install and did it myself (and I am no handyman whatsoever). Great accessory and I would recommend installing.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Not arguing this but hasn’t this thread kind of become the de facto thread to discuss al things TM3 related? Would you prefer that we have separate thread headings for topics such as driving issues, FSD, accessories, customer service, charging and chargers etc?

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Hey all. Had a couple of WTF? moments in the past week driving our TM3. Driving in Melbourne and in centre of either side of suburban road is parking spaces for cars. There is a lady standing smoking a cigarette in one of these spaces with her door wide open and as I pass her, doing...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Seeing a few Model 3’s out and about now in Melbourne and just in my local area of Brunswick/Fitzroy/Clifton Hill. Saw all black (sorry..looked plain Jane), red (super slick) and white (pure class). And there are a few more to come I’m guessing?? A very electric future ahead

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Yes that is correct and a very handy feature. Except car doesn’t change speed limit straight away on the screen. Also, anomalies with incorrect speed limits in certain areas as reported by others on the forum.
  11. maveric74

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

FWIW, tried TACC on suburban roads and AP on freeway. Loving TACC as it is set and forget, recognises changing speed limits (a tad late on speed limit change recognition at times so you have to dial down manually), comes to a complete spot if traffic halts and then speeds up again once it is...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Hey all, What are your thoughts on battery drain with sentry mode when car is parked overnight? Wha sort of loss are you seeing? Asking because we are heading for Darwin in early Nov albeit only 4 days. Car will be left at airport car park with Sentry Mode on I’m guessing! Got me thinking what...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

It's so quiet! Even on freeway at 100kph..Tyres are Michelin..So much quieter than our Discovery Sport 4WD and definitely quieter than the V12 1973 e-Type Jag
  15. maveric74

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

@cregor Yes, do notice the battery drain with Sentry Mode on. Why is that concerning? Do you have access to a wall charger at home/garage? Not being rude, but I don't have access to a wall charger (no garage) and still manage to get by. Definitely wasn't aware of the battery drain prior..

That sounds so bad mate. And unacceptable definitely. I would be the same when it starts affecting your family, income and work. Not sure what is happening with communication at Tesla but hope you get the car soon

Tesla Q3 earnings. Not enough for market as their stock was down 4% https://electrek.co/2019/10/02/tesla-record-deliveries-q3/ Another really interesting article on the future earnings for Tesla through chargers This could be the next gold mine for Tesla and other electric vehicles

I think it's included in V10 for everyone at this stage. I have spotify and TuneIn as well in the display. Might be additional charges after a year, as you rightly suggested (which I would definitely get). I have a premium Spotify account and listen to music/podcasts etc. all the time so will...

    Model 3 Accessories

I don't think Taptes currently do RHD TM3 floor mats unfortunately. I got mine Alixpress (Luckeasy). Not the best looking but they will definitely help save that carpet. Trunk and Trunk liners from Taptes are excellent btw..

Got delivery from Taptes with a fair few accessories folks. Attached a few relevant pics of accessories that I think you should definitely get. 1. Thanks to @apchoo, I ordered floor mats from Luckeasy (AliExpress). I wish they were figure-hugging, but let's face it, some of my fav clothes don't...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Sorry to hear. Picked up our TM3 on a Sat a few weeks ago and it was crazy busy on the day as well but the cars (including ours) were in mint condition. Only thing was we had standard number plates and when offered to take car home, I mentioned the custom plates we sent to Tesla Cremorne a month...

CCS connector cable (same as Tesla Model 3) provided with charge fox so no connectors required. Fit directly into TM3 port for me at Airport West last night. Super lightning fast charging as well, so well worth it for me.

Used Chargefox 350kw charger @ Airport West last night and they are charged to credit card via app. Not sure if the non 350kw chargers were free or not.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Yes to this! Sun night I couldn’t unhook the charging cable from the supercharger and Model S owner came around and moved his car, let me park in his bay that he vacated and then proceeded to help me with plugging my car in. Welcomed me and gave me a toot and a thumbs up as he drove off. We’re...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

@Damo11 Actually you are the one assuming, not me. When did I say that I will use the supercharger for everyday charging? Go back on my posts and point that out to me. You can't. Because you just assumed it. I understand that other people have more pressing needs for the supercharger. And I have...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

@WoodWombat I have used supercharger once at Richmond. For 45mins. And paid for it. After 45mins, I moved the car. At 9:30pm at night with multiple free charging bays available. What charger etiquette are you referring to? With regards to insulting people, please do all of us a favour and go...
  37. maveric74

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

@WoodWombat sorry again but you need to learn to read properly. When did I say I was doing 400km in a day around Melbourne? If I am in the city for a meeting close by to the Richmond chargers, I would use it for a top up for 45 mins. As long as I am paying for it and a charger bay is available...
  38. maveric74

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Ridiculous. What is the attitude that you refer to? It is not just convenient, it is absolutely essential for me. Also, I don't intend to use the superchargers all the time, every time I need a charge. I have public chargers closer to me, which will be used most of the time. BUT, when convenient...
  39. maveric74

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Sorry @WoodWombat Where did you get the information from that the superchargers are only for people driving thru Melb? I don't have access to a HPWC @ home so why can't I use it for a quick top up (45 min limit)? And also I agree with earlier post regarding if you are out and about in the city...
  40. maveric74

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I completely disagree. I have absolutely every incentive to use the supercharger in Richmond. I don't have a garage at home so can't install the HPWC. I have public chargers closer to me but they charge slower so approximately around 3-4 hours. I am about a 15min drive to Richmond. At $11 for a...
  41. maveric74

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Agree. I went there Sat evening and all spots were taken by Model S and Model X cars. And i can see these superchargers being coveted by newer Model 3 buyers as well..Definitely need more superchargers in the CBD or even at Richmond HQ.
  42. maveric74

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Notification on app regarding idle charges as charging was complete. Makes sense to me. Why hog the charger for a couple of hours when you finish charging & someone else might need that spot? Not sure if they charge idle charges but acts as a deterrent I suppose
  43. maveric74

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Used Richmond supercharger for the first time today around 9:30pm. FWIW, tried using it last night as well but big fail as MCG had football on + warm Sat night meant supercharger was full up. I couldn’t for the life of me get the charger cable off the actual charger until kind Model S owner...

We had the same thing. Delivery was meant to be 17th and got pushed back to 21st. I think they are under the pump. For Sat delivery, there were about 20-25 cars being unloaded off flatbed trailers around 9am. The delay is disappointing but you will absolutely love your car from the second you...

Hey all, As promised, here are some pics of the delivery of our Model 3 this morning in Richmond, Melbourne. Hi all, So supposedly picking up our Model 3 (blue SR+) tomorrow (Sat 21st) @ 10am in Richmond. Had a final email from delivery team to sign off on registration form and received confirmation that they have received it. No dreaded last minute cancellation call so it seems surreal that we may...
