Completely agree. I guess this is maybe tied to battery usage and other things but with a 1 tb ssd, why doesn’t dashcam work kind of like Time Machine for macOS, just continuous recording until needing to delete old footage?

A quick google search about this revealed that Apple music smart lists are not supported as of yet. Hopefully this will change in the future but the majority of feedback suggests that Apple Music "web" does not support smart lists either, pending a future implementation.

I tend to agree as the standard app is free with software/hardware essentially doing the same thing. This is a subscription money grab!

They posted the preliminary annual subscription fees for Tesla integration on the MyQ website the other day so it's not one/done. I think $45/year and up you go. With Homelink, at least you can open the garage door if the internet craps out or myQ goes out of business. ;)

Like most people using Bluetooth technology, every now and then we have the dreaded “holding” the handle of the model 3 hoping it will unlock soon. On iOS in the Bluetooth section, does it make any difference what I set the “device type” to be? Anyone experimented here?

There were all kinds of issues in one of the previous software updates doing just this. Post what version you are on and then search. Most likely the version you are currently on will be updated soon. I had the same thing happen.

Typically, this either adds or removes a function that you opted for. Most common is they “remove” the premium sound subscription. (Streaming music, live map, sentry remote live etc. )

No, just basic streaming services included as native on Tesla OS. Why is there a button for FM/AM/Spotify/Tidal etc. when I can just use Bluetooth? I don't even want to go into the music quality differences on Apple Music compared to Bluetooth etc. Not even close... Elon's answer was...

I don't understand why they didn't "allow" him to answer the question? His response to Apple Music Support or Amazon Music or [insert any streaming platform here] was to say why do you need it ? The answer is, it is not safe to fidget with a phone over Bluetooth while driving.

At minimum, can't we just get Apple Music integration so one of the safest cars in the world doesn't require its users fumbling with their phones over Bluetooth trying to play a song?

More than likely it is the UMC that fails after a while... Tesla replaced mine with a mobile appt. including the 14-50. Damn cabling is so thin... :)

You can only get the notifications from the car itself so the path it something like this: Tesla Display/Services/Notifications (They disappear after about 24 hours) There are notifications every day by the way when something is up...

Tesla ended up swapping the UMC and 14-50 for a new set. Seems to be behaving normal again.

My mobile Tesla appointment asked to be delayed from Tuesday of next week for another week and requesting additional pictures and will pull diagnostic information.

I traded UMC with my neighbor overnight and still tried to charge at 32A. About the same warning messages and notes appeared in Tesla/Services/Notifications overnight as before. Now I'm starting to think the UMC cabling is just too thin... or maybe something is up with my car. My neighbor again...

The mobile gen 2 charger 14-50 has only been removed 1 time from the plug since I bought the car. The communication messages appeared again when I did a test charge just now. I think it’s the cable charger or maybe the 14-50. Will report back what Tesla says.

Following this thread as well. Using an iPhone X, every time I get a phone call it’s just a habit at this time to scroll up on the scroll wheel to hear something. This must be a bug in one or more of the most recent software updates because I don’t remember in being this bad early 2020.
