I was there yesterday lots of ground works but looks like they are widening the entrance, could not see anything that resembled a supercharger

How can we tell what pack we have ?

lots of rumours but little actual evidence That once at hopwood has been there since before the ecotricity spat, so dont hold out hope for that one Rumours of one at westfield in london and one at green park in reading but nothing confirmed

Hi Mario yes we have a very significant number live today, and another 60 going in as part of an EU rollout in the next few months. We should be well over 200 by christmas

Ray if you need any help from the UK guys let us know, happy to go test out some local chargers if you need to ensure you dont turn up to a broken one

yes they make you put £20 on account to be able to access the free to use chargepoints on their network Be aware not all 7kw are free infact they charge for some 3kw as well

Polar instant only works if you pre pay credit for paid charge points (even if you only intend to use free 7kw ones) or its crazy over priced Rapid chargers (£7.50 for 30 minutes) Search for Open Charge Map or access Ecotricity's website for their map

not too many red or blue sockets here in the UK, lots of type 2 and most of the CHademo units are multiconnector so you can use the 22kw type 2 on them.

a post just surfaced on teslas own forums, a supercharger in exactly the same state has been seen at hopwood services on M42

wouldnt you expect service centers to give your car back fully charged, if they only have 7kw thats a long time to charge up cars

i assume there will be a super charger at tesla service centers as well as any they deploy on the motorway network

I am also a 406 been told first week of July

to be fair to the police, they had two spots right next to the door, now they are painted as EV spaces. However once the superchargers become active I hope they find them a new dedicated space near the door

I use the ecotricity chargers at south mimms quite a lot for my leaf and have never seen any of the spaces ICEd, except by the police and when I politely asked them to move they were happy to do so

So never having seen a super charger in real life, does one charger (the things under covers) only do one car ? - - - Updated - - - Dont worry just answered my own question, 4 chargers 4 bays :-)

there is a 2nd cabinet at south mimms on the left although it seems to only serve one bay, so three total

I would rather see lots of smaller 2-4 bay super chargers than a smaller number of 5-10 bay chargers, seems south mimms will be 3-4 bays hopefully thats a good sign

would also suggest Cherwell Valley on M40 and Cambridge Services on the A14 just north of the M11, as both serve both sides

I suspect it was all done in a day, when the ChaDemo charger was installed, it appeared in one day, groundworks etc all done in a single day

I have a VIN number now, delivery still says late may however I was told in email from tesla a couple of weeks ago that it was likely to be end of June early July, so one step forward etc

an no one peaked under the covers, must have much more restraint than I would have

thats fine if where they live there is any sort of charging infrastructure (there isn't) and that to reach them is close to the max range of the car,so turn up and never be able to leave

Chargemaster are not too quick in responding, I filled out the form on their website a week ago still no contact, there are many other places you can get a free charging point from in the uK, however only the 16amp versions are free. Most charge an additional £95 to upgrade to 32amp
