    Supercharger - North Bend, WA

Or there could be some technical reason why 250kw isn't working and they're only listing it as 150kw. Maybe that's why it's also been delayed opening.

That's correct there are only 8 stalls here.

    Supercharger - North Bend, WA

There actually aren't lines painted yet. What looks like lines in my photo are where they blacked out the lines that were there. For what it's worth I probably didn't do the greatest job parking. It was dark and rainy and I was just popping in to see if it worked so I didn't put much effort...

    Supercharger - North Bend, WA

It’s open! Stopped by on the way to dinner and pulled into the spot next to the chargers and the Tesla tech waved me off around 4pm. I pointed out I wasn’t actually in a Supercharger spot and he went “Ohh.” Stopped by on the way back from dinner about 5pm. He was there still working chatted...

    Firmware 7.1

I think I may have been the first to report 2.17.37 last night. So I'll think up a name for it. But since there's no apparent difference, I'll wait a bit to see if we find power ups on the rainbow road or something.

Chassis CAN Logging To ASCII Text Plus Graphing

Strange situation. I did some recording a while back and haven't had a chance to look at the logs or do anything with them. I'm at a conference helping man a booth and so I'm looking at them now. But it seems the entire log reports the throttle position and the rear torque is all over the...

Seeking Volunteers, Everett Community College EV day 4/18/16 and 4/19/16

I can't make it on Monday, work is super busy right now. I'll try to make it on Tuesday but that's dependent on getting a meeting rescheduled or taking it in the car on the way there.

Chassis CAN Logging To ASCII Text Plus Graphing

And here's some dry launches. Didn't really do any better. Wanted to do a 100% charge but didn't have time so I did what I could. Spreadsheet is today's launch sheet in the usual spot: Tesla Logging

Chassis CAN Logging To ASCII Text Plus Graphing

More interesting tidbit. Went back and looked at my 55 mph non-range mode run from the first spreadsheet. In that case the rear motor was on and the front motor was off. Looks like in the 85D at cruise range mode toggles between front and rear wheel drive. Tesla must think one of those...

Chassis CAN Logging To ASCII Text Plus Graphing

Did some range mode testing today with the 85D. If the car finishes charging before Elon gets on stage I'll go do some launches. I'm not going to post any graphs but the data is up on my Google Drive (today's range spreadsheet): Tesla Logging Based on this testing I'd say that the 85D always...

Ahh that actually makes sense. Pretty sure I was following the directions in the instructions section so they probably should be updated.

Chassis CAN Logging To ASCII Text Plus Graphing

Yeah weather should be better later this week it's supposed to get up to 60 and dry off so I should get some good data. Plus I'm taking Thursday off. Depending on how long I'm waiting at the Tesla Store I should have some time to do some other stuff. You mean 1150 amps. You said 1150 later...

Chassis CAN Logging To ASCII Text Plus Graphing

Yeah not sure what to make of that, if there was any slipping I didn't notice it and that's over a half second period so I'd think I would have.

Chassis CAN Logging To ASCII Text Plus Graphing

After multiple failed connections I finally got the logger from MikeBur and had some time to play with it today. Unforunately it was very wet out and after my first 0-70mph runs it started hailing while I was looking at the data. So I haven't gotten to testing range mode which I think is the...

Is Tapatalk not going to be supported with the new forum?

The lack of a mobile app is a pretty huge issue for me. I'd shifted almost exclusively to reading and posting from mobile. I've been less active recently but no mobile app effectively means this is the end of any participation on my part.

    HPWC Charging Limited to 79A

Interesting. Though I don't have voltage over 240V very often at my house, so I don't think that was the issue in my case.
  20. breser

    HPWC Charging Limited to 79A

I think so based on your explanation. When I plugged in I would either get a max of 79 or 80A. Mostly just 79A but every once in a while it would go up to 80A. After charging for a while even when it was at 80A it would change to 79A and would not go back to 80A unless you unplugged the car...

    Winter tire recommendations

Having used my Pirelli winter tires all Winter including my Christmas trip back to Kansas, I'm happy with them. Maybe they're not the greatest winter tires but they worked well enough for me. But most of my winter driving is just in wet weather.

    HPWC Charging Limited to 79A

Just to clarify. The issue here that I had was that the car was only allowing up to 79A to be selected in the adjuster. I still see 79A a lot in the actual charging amperage. But the car hasn't shown 79A as the maximum possible charging selection since the firmware update that fixed the...

One Year Anniversary! Add your anniversary photos here?

Well one year since the 85D arrived came and went on the 18th with ~33k miles. It got a celebratory bath a couple days later, slightly delayed due to our weather.

    Window Chip

Not anymore, try $600 now, there has been significant part price reductions for the Model S. Had one replaced last year on my car, then had a new chip 1 month later. Second one didn't crack so it was just repaired like this thread.

    Random Model X sightings

Just had my first Model X sighting in North Bend, WA. Saw it on a side street as we were approaching waiting to turn. Ended up following me most of the way home. Looks like someone in my neighborhood got their X. Not a very good picture since my car is dirty.

Seeking Volunteers for an EV Project at Everett Community College 1/26/16 and 1/27/16

I won't be able to make it this time around due to other work commitments. To anyone that hasn't gone to this before, it's a very worthwhile project. You get a chance to show the car to engineering students and help change perceptions of EVs in general. I'd highly recommend going.

Yup I'm having the same problem. I had to reprogram my main door since over time it's gotten glitchy and wouldn't work. I've been dealing with it for months by just pressing it an extra time when it wouldn't work. But not auto homelink for summon is trying to open the wrong door...

    Beatles on Slacker?

I've between playing The Beatles on Slacker since Christmas Eve. Did a voice command "Play The Beatles," scroll past all the songs to Artists in the pop-up and there you go. Like all the Slacker "stations" you will get a variety of other artists.

    Christmas Road Trip 2015

Raw data on the first post. Some minor notes about it that I'll probably fix later. Temperature data on leaving the supercharger is suspect it seems to be pushed higher by charging. Times are local times as far as I know (I'll try to adjust them to be consistent later). I have VisualTesla...
