I prefer the Model 3, I do think a SUV should have better ground clearance, this looks to me more like a nice mini van, then again it might just be the pictures, the blacked out handles and fittings looks better than the crome, specialty in white
I see the rest of the world as early adopters, we here in Africa have to wait till hopefully end of the year before we will even see a Tesla on our roads, so be happy you gents have the option of pulling the trigger on what I believe is a beautiful vehicle, and should still be desirable for a...
So for every 5 vehicles you purchase you get a nose cone for free :p
In all seriousness be glad it's not as bad as Zimbabwe and Botswana, it was possible to remove external lights with just a screw driver on the older vehicles, so that is exactly what they did, they use to build cadges around...
Smartphone reminders can use your location as well these days, so the minute your phone knows you back home you get a reminder. or if you really want to go all out, how about one of these?
How Wireless EV Charging Works for Tesla Model S | Plugless Power
even though this is obviously not a off road vehicle, it would still be of interest the wading depth of the vehicle, water flowing over the bonnet definitely doesn't help any car.
If its not broken why fix it? I would leave the battery and only after it starts giving problems think about replacement, on a 8 year old high end vehicle you can't expect the value to last, either trade in or keep and save some money for when its needed
I would love to have a Tesla in my garage, but by the time Elon decides to bring any type of Tesla back to his home country, every other company would probably have an electric vehicle of some sort in SA, Jaguar will release the I-pace in SA before the end of the year, so the the Jag is for the...
Yeah I still can't wrap my mind around having the exact same wheel just in a different size...how hard is it to design something different or add the Model S wheels as your M3 Performance wheel
Any new pics of the white seats? I have come to terms with the fact that I will most likely not see an electric vehicle until 2020 here in Africa, and unless Tesla starts making 4x4 electric trucks, most South Africans will be buying Toyota/Ford bakkies (small trucks)
True, I did 240km/h in 1999 in a Opel V6 Van, never did I veel unsafe or pushing the limit, specially because the Autobahn is constantly monitored via cameras for any problems that occur, and if something does occur, speed limits are enforced as it happens.
Any other place driving 250km/h on a public road would be dangerous to you and everyone, having said that and having driven 240km/h myself on the Autobahn, this is no ordinary road, driving 200km/h when and if there are no traffic veels like doing 80km/h in a 120km/h zone, do a bit of homework...
So does this mean you don't have matching vin no? does electric drive units work in the same way as fuel engines and will it affect the value of the vehicle if indeed the engine and vin numbers are suppose to match up? just asking out of curiosity.
I try to be objective and look at the positives of every vehicle doesn't matter the make, I have always purchased my vehicles because I love what they have to offer, not because of the name, in this case I think I will be the first to congratulate Jaguar to at least give Tesla some competition...
I think more people are starting to wonder if it's worth it, If it worked 100% from day one sure, but how long will it take till it eventually works at full throttle
I work in the construction industry and almost all new houses that I work on in South Africa either install Solar/Gas or Heat pumps, with the price going down on these alternative methods of electricity and our not so trustworthy government supply, it has become the norm if you can afford it...
If I had to guess, which I do, I would say that a more expensive sunroof will maybe be added later, but surely the cost of changing that small piece of glass to metal would end up costing them more in the bigger picture than just sticking with what they have now.
After market wheels for me for sure, the choices out there are endless and should be growing by the time most people have their vehicles, I do think Tesla should invest more in their wheel design or at least get a 3rd party to design for them, how many choices does BMW have for their 3 series, I...
I don't know much about snow driving, but I do know that in off road situations the correct tires makes a massive difference, any one tried proper off road tires and I am not talking about the sports 4x4 tires on the X before?
I would go for the 19" in a non-standard rim, that way you have the look you want and the comfort your back side needs. If Tesla does come to SA some day in 2030 I would be more inclined to have a bit more cushion between myself and our not so perfect roads. We luckily do not have to worry about...
I jumped on the Bitcoin and Ethereum train about two weeks ago, nothing big, I see it as play money, at the end of the day it's a big gamble, so weather I loose it all or gain something, I won't loose any sleep over it.
I deposited the exact same amount into Ethereum as in Bitcoin and sold the...
Bring her across the pond to South Africa and you will have your share of onlookers, come on Elon, time to supply your local country men with the Tesla gift.
BMW i8 is a nice hybrid vehicle and sure helped open up the world up to what is possible with electric vehicles, but its like comparing a Apples and Oranges, two different types of vehicles, all together.
As a lover of all things cars you won't hear a complaint from me either at 1.74m if you stuff me in the back of a Porsche 911 ;)
On a serious note, no roadster/ sports car will ever be a MS in the rear, but at least it looks like a TT in that rear which will mean some packing space and as Elon...
As said above, the specs are amazing and it is a beautiful car, at $200k it doesn't sound to bad when looking at other supercars, will it have the same quality and feel of a Ferrari, I personally don't think so, those italians have had many years perfecting the art, but looking at the bigger...
Amazing looking vehicle and specs, spending $250k on a vehicle now that will only be out in 3 years if you pay today, now that is dedication than again if you are willing to spend that on a vehicle you probably have a lot more pennies in the bank than most and have a vehicle in the Ferrari/...
