Passed by this morning and saw that the transformer has been installed! Lights for the units are still off. Seems like any day now.

More or less a hunch. There would have to be enough vehicles willing & capable to travel that route before Tesla would invest in expanding to connect the lower 48 to AK. While the S3XY line up can make that drive today, they would probably be limited to only 4 months for S & 3 and maybe 6...

I think Wade Anderson from Tesla Social did that when he went to Alaska in his Model 3. You can review his videos and count, it may not have been continuous but while he was north of the US boarder he was pretty much living out of his car for about 2 or more weeks it seems...

Nice write-up. I was just curious if you happened to know or ask anyone at the Ridge if they would be reinstalling their Destination Chargers that they had before the new construction. I recalled they were setup for 12kW before they took them down.

Seems like when Mountain Pass Performance dyno-ed the Model Y Performance they got more power (502 WHP) than the non-refresh Model 3 (480 WHP). Could the refreshed TM3 Performance be getting the same power bump?

Something that I haven't seen covered by the reviews out of China is can the rear trunk now be opened AND closed from the MCU and the phone app? I would think that it would but I haven't seen any verification of it yet.
