I want to powder coat my brake calipers and was wondering how you guys go about doing it. I figured I'll take my Model 3 to my mechanic to remove the calipers, bleed the brakes, etc. Then I'll sent the calipers to a powder coat shop. Does anyone have alternatives to this very long process?

On a road trip to the Grand Canyon. An oncoming truck launched a huge rock at my baby. The PPF on my front bumper prevented a huge dent. I'm mostly certain if I remove the PPF the bumper will look untouched.

I think you made a good choice. I have a white Model 3 and had the full front dome with PPF. IMO, getting at least the front bumper done is needed.

The paint on my Model 3 was surprisingly really good. But I understand and agree with your overall point.

I used CQuartz UK by CarPro. CarPro makes awesome products but they aren't cheap. I'm not sure who has the "best" coating. But CQuartz has a great rep and I'm very happy. I also highly recommend removing the wheels and putting a coating on them as well. It's a ton of work, but totally worth it.

Claying & polishing is a HUGE amount of work. If your car is brand new and the paint looks good, there is really no good reason to clay and polish the car. But you will need to polish if you clay as claying will mare the paint. Wash the car. Use an contaminate remover such as IronX by CarPro...

RPM's solution seems like a great choice. I plan to get it this weekend or next. My Model 3 is currently in the shop for tint and PPF. I'm curious what your shop would charge for the center console? Have you asked for a price, uet?

It is a really bad idea to assume you will have an opportunity to buy a $35k Model 3, with or without tax incentives.

I reached out to him as he has a good rep. I'm just not interested in the $1,300 he quoted for CeraLuxe tint. I'm truly happy for him (seriously) he has people to pay than kind of cash for window tint. Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people.

I was quoted $2,200 + tax, by Extreme Autowerks. Just for tint. I congratulated them for being able to charge so much. Seriously, good for them!

Exactly. The shop needs 60" film, and it doesn't seem they want to order 60" film. I'm sure there are plenty of shops around who would.

I've seen a Model 3 whose tint started at the end of the factory-installed tint. It looked good from the outside. But from the inside, I thought it looked horrible. Just my opinion. The owner didn't mind it at all.
