Refreshed 2021/2022 Model X Owners Thread

I have them. They fit amazing and I wish I could drive with my socks and shoes off. It is 'real' plush carpet that's why expensive. I also added the add-on for the nicer edges that you can also customize. Sorry I don't have pics available and when I did have pics the pics did not really do...

Turn off Automatic Door at Home

Not a fix, but my workaround is to swipe down from the top right of my iPhone to reveal the control center, and temporarily turn off Bluetooth (press the BT button inside control center). By doing it this way, Bluetooth will remain connected to other apple devices ie Apple Watch and Airplay, but...

    Homelink Automation

This is gonna be a tough one. And I enjoy challenging automation projects. For starters try erasing the the home location in your Nav / Homelink and set “Home” again when you are at rear of building. If that does not work I am already out of ideas. For now at least.

Do I need the keyfob on the 2022 refresh MX?

On top of all of this there is a 4th way. If you have an Apple Watch you can use the watch to lock, unlock, and even start the car, among other things, all without your phone (if you have the cellular plan on the AW). You need a 3rd party app like Tessie or similar. I too only use my phone...

MXP Refresh - adjustment of dash air flow - RTFM!

I cannot believe I did this, Tesla fanboy that I am. I am posting this for others. The wife and I recently completed 3 long weekend road trips the past 3 weekends in my 2022 MXP refresh. I leave the AC on 'auto' and at 68-69 degrees the air feels perfect - that is - until my non-technical...

What happens during overnight deep sleep that fixes things?

To add context to mine, the SvC is telling me the logs showed a blocked front ultrasonic sensor that may have triggered this chain of events. Visually looked ok to me after I was told that, but the deep sleep must have reset it. Alas it seems this was not FSD beta related but a temporary sensor...

What happens during overnight deep sleep that fixes things?

What part of my question suggested I cannot tolerate anything? I was asking a question about deep sleep. I guess intent can get lost in translation. I am kind of surprised at the response. Geez.

What happens during overnight deep sleep that fixes things?

New 2022 MXP April delivery. Running current beta FSD. During this past weekend 4 day road trip I lost autopilot ability after first 30 min of trip from Pittsburgh to NYC. That's a long drive to lose AP. The very first error that day was that I had a turn signal malfunction during a manual...

Biden administration wants to standardize electric vehicle charging, like gas stations

I mean, if we're gonna make a system for the future, time to get rid of credit cards. Let it be a similar system to Superchargers and EZ-PASS. Register once, and just plug and charge and it gets billed to the customer automatically. Time to think forward. I just saw Coldplay at MetLife...

    PPF and X Surface areas

I took delivery of my 2022 MXP in late April. SunTek Ultra PPF full front end (headlights, fog lights, front bumper, full hood, full fenders, and mirrors). Modesta ceramic coating on top of the PPF (and remainder of vehicle). One month in and I have my first small rock chip and scratch on...

    Like your black Model Y?

If you do this, I recommend partial PPF on hood/ front / side mirrors and a ceramic coating on all of it to protect the paint. Particularly if you will hold onto this vehicle for a long time. Source: I have a 2022 Black X.

    bird poo damage

Ceramic wont save you from bird poo. You need PPF. Ceramic on top of PPF even better so that you get the best qualities of both. See my recent post about this here: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/ppf-saved-the-hood-of-my-new-2022-plaid.267928/#post-6739565

Tesla Service Experience - General Question

Here is my practical stream of consciousness advice. Do not cancel your order, but realize that Tesla is in fact experiencing growing pains on the service side. There is a mobile service fleet for most issues, but if your vehicle ends up in the SvC (Service Center), do be careful as it can...

    Considering 2023 MX--The Yoke is a concern.

I am not a pilot but I wish I was a pilot. The yoke on my MXP is the closest I will ever get to an actual cockpit! That said, it has now been a month and I love the yoke. I have developed my own style of using it. Yes, you can turn the yoke 360 degrees using one hand using your palm. Dare...

Disable Auto Present Doors at Home - Workaround

Good idea, and I can do this without IFTTT using the Home app. But this too completely disables BT while my method above will maintain BT for apple devices and Airplay. Would reeeealllly like Tesla to allow option to disable autopresent at home.

FSD beta expansion to new beta testers June 2022

I saw a post once that I cannot get out of my head. Maybe it's not Tesla. Maybe it is a 'quiet arrangement' with the regulating authorities, i.e., NHTSA, to slow the roll or NHTSA will slow it for them. I mean it kind of makes sense. If word got out that regulating authorities were behind...

FSD beta expansion to new beta testers June 2022

It was longer than a week. I tried unsuccessfully for a few weeks to maintain my safety score above 98. At that point people were already getting accepted. I opted out and opted back in and eventually achieved my 98 for more than 100 miles. I got it 2 days later. It was probably one month...

Disable Auto Present Doors at Home - Workaround

True, but Siri will turn off the entire BT stack including BT with apple devices. The method I posted will maintain BT for apple devices and temporarily turns of BT only for 3rd party apps (ie Tesla).

FSD beta expansion to new beta testers June 2022

I had the beta, traded in my X for my new X, and lost beta access. I have a 100 safety score and more than 100 miles. Just waiting like you. I want it back!

Disable Auto Present Doors at Home - Workaround

I am trying a new workaround to temporarily prevent my phone from auto presenting my Model X doors (2022 Refresh Plaid). Rather than turning off the feature from the car, I simply swipe to open the control center on my iPhone and hit the BT icon. I learned that by temporarily turning off BT...

PPF saved the hood of my new 2022 Plaid

So I am not sure if it was the PPF or ceramic that saved the day. I assumed it was the PPF because of the hot water trick. Either way I am happy in the investment given the series of events!

PPF saved the hood of my new 2022 Plaid

I recently took delivery of my blacked out MX Plaid in mid-April. I was trading in a 2017 X that I had treated with a ceramic coating - and LOVED the coating as it made her shine and she was so easy to wash. That car looked brand new for 4.5 years. So this time around, I make the plan with my...

    2022 Refresh Model X 6 Seater Floormats

They don’t reply to emails. I too intend to order the remaining mats when available. I did save my other Luxe mats from my 5 seat 2017 X except the fronts (which are apparently different anyway). The second row obviously would not fit, but the frunk mat did fit and the cargo mat fits except...

    2022 Refresh Model X 6 Seater Floormats

I called them 48 hours ago. They told me the front Luxe floor mats for 2022 Model X are available (and are in fact different than the pre-refresh) but no other mats available yet because of lack of access to an actual car to take measurements. They’re in southern CA so if you are nearby please...

    FS: 20" Sonic Carbon Wheels

I am selling a set of four (4) 20" Sonic Carbon wheels with tires that have been in my garage for about 4.5 years. These wheels / tires were OEM for my then-new Model X 100D delivered in November 2017, which has now been traded in for a 2022 X. In May 2018, I elected to purchase the 22"...

Model X OEM Swiveling Screen Thread

This is my second X (replacing 2017 model). My new X Plaid came in 2 weeks ago. I have barely been in it yet because the plan was to get PPF for front third of car, Modesta ceramic coating for entire car, and 30% tint driver and passenger side windows. I noticed the tiniest - and I mean...

First post - just received new Model X!

On key fob, I had trouble pairing as well. Then I saw the clickable link on the screen that said “trouble pairing your fob?” I watched that and learned you need to position the fob exactly as shown and then slide it sideways as part of the pairing. Perhaps try that.
