Very Sharp!
just like my MY. :)
I did notice some panel gaps and few alignment issues on my MY after the honeymoon period, but not enough to complain. My time to complain is up anyway....
Just got an email from NJ rebate program that MY 5k rebate was approved. It took about 2 weeks to get the approval, and they will be sending the check in about 30 days.

Looks like Model Y has incorporated a new door switch which clearly marks back lighted door symbol on the switch to make it more intuitive for non Tesla peeps. Too bad I missed this on my Model Y. (Vin 327##).
questions is whether Tesla would offer to change this for a small fee on existing...
Awesome!!
Keep us posted as to how you make out.
What you would get extra now would be the marked door open switch, hopefully. A lot of people have issues opening the door from inside as it’s not very intuitive.
I was in same boat as you. My issue was that I had my own referral code ready but placed the order through a different window (same computer but different browser which I didn't open through referral link as I was playing with different configurations). I reached out to the Tesla rep who was...
Does anyone know when it will be phased out? what about for people who already took the delivery in a last week or so.
BTW, just checked the website which handles the rebate, it seems they are still accepting new applications.

We are all doomed then. A simple "mirror" check might not be enough if we are expecting major issues like gaping hole underneath the car. Might as well buy a Toyota if we are that worried, IMHO.
Really?
Don't let all these "checks" kill the excitement of buying a new car! I mean, give it a good thorough inspection, but stay within the means and enjoy your new purchase rather than getting tense and nervous over it. The novelty of getting a "perfect" issue free car would wear...
Guys
Picked up MY vin 327XX. Almost perfect with no major issues. I Learned a lot from this forum as to what to look for. I’m not that picky, but still I felt every thing was pretty much in spec. My configuration was black on white, with induction wheels, no FSD, LR.
Pickup location was in...
apparently car arrived on Late Saturday, so it’s not a reject. ( phew). It seems someone cancelled their reservation after the car was built. It seems your car was perfect other than few defects which were physical and not related to the panel alignments. Since our VIN numbers are so damn close...
Well, since I found out just yesterday to pick up the car on this tues, more than likely this car was ordered for someone else and they didn’t take he delivery for one reason or the other. I will try to call my delivery person.
does 15 miles on the odometer sounds ok? Seems a bit high as my M3...
Thanks for the detailed explanation. I will give it a through inspection.
Just out of curiosity, which location did you go to pick the car? Were their many cars with the same configuration as yours?
Also, when did you get the notification to pick the car? I got notification on 8/2 for 8/4...
I just got a delivery date , Aug 4 to 6, with same VIN as yours (327xx). Wondering if I’m getting your reject??
Same configuration as yours ( Black with White interior, 20 inch wheels , no FSD. )
15 miles on odometer.
what paint issue did you see?
I’m in NJ.
I hear ya. They should spend half hour self inspecting the car before customer arrives.
BTW, this is the same configuration as what I have. When did you reserve it? And where are you located?
Well, if you self refer yourself ( assuming you already have a Tesla) do you get 2000 miles? If so, it maybe worth canceling and reordering again with code for existing Tesla owners. ( if you are in no hurry to get the car).
You can cancel
And reorder....
However, they will not refund your $100 deposit, so it’s not worth it.
1000 miles of supercharging is worth about 40 bucks.
don’t expect price drop for RWD. Tesla dropped 3k specifically on LR AWD which is now offered at $8,990 (before it was $11,990). The base car is still at $41k per my invoice.
Though I have an order on Y, I wish Tesla had done a slightly different design on Y to make it stand out a bit differently from 3. BTW, I think they should have done the new design with X as well, as it looks vertically stretched version of S.
Actually if you could post the pics of the charge port , that would be great!
Would love to see what a normal charge port alignment should look like. Thanks.
Not sure if this thread already exists, if yes, please remove...
It seems unfair that people after me have been getting their MY while I still wait on sideline ;), so I figured we vent a bit here...
I know the deliveries depend on order date, configuration, locations, some other "unknown...
My question is very simple: who is inspecting the car before they try to deliver you with those issues? Do they have a QC department and who is running it? I mean are they simply hoping that we don’t notice these imperfections and take the delivery of the car? If that’s the case then it’s pretty...
Those are pretty crappy alignment for a >60k car. Looks like a third grader worked on it. You should have rejected it outright. Shame on their QC!!! Do they even have one?
