Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Some ridiculous reporter insinuated Elon may be a national security threat as he cooperated with Saudi Arabia (unknown to me) to purchase Twitter and asked specifically if we should be looking into it. Insane question with clear agenda.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

My exact thoughts for awhile now and more accurately explains his about face with all of this. Doesn’t fully justify everything, but I get it. Revolutionary, climate change fighting, generational defining company run by a visionary and what does he get in return? Attacks for being a billionaire...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I love that record P and D is a miss, but legacy auto having a quarter where they produce a few more than street expected, but still down 20% YoY is considered a beat. Talk about myopia.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Maybe it’s a regional issue for you. This is absolutely a step forward for my 2 vehicles. Far from perfect, but a big step forward. I sincerely hope things evolve for you in the next several updates.

.69.2 is a noticeable improvement with much smoother decision making and human-like maneuvers. I’m certain I’ll find issues as I have with every iteration, but the AP team is showing how much can be done with all this data they’re collecting. Bullish AF.

This walk down is truly painful to watch. I’m a holder, but it’s still obnoxious.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

There is a fairly large contingent of naysayers that even frequent these boards. They continue to espouse true FSD is impossible and decades off. They repeatedly ignore the advancements that have occurred in just the past year. And they routinely remind others Elon has promised FSD for years...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Once we get our CT, we will keep our 2018 to start out on Turo and hopefully one day robotaxi network. The low price we paid for FSD is too good to give up.

I can only see this as a positive for Tesla on many fronts. Even consider that the “other” EV owners will be forced to see how quickly the Tesla charges compared to their vehicle. I’m confident it will shift many that went with a legacy auto EV to Tesla. I have no idea how fast a Mach E will...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

It certainly sounds like a big deal after reading the article. It essentially covers every Mach E manufactured to date. Not sure how they won’t have to physically recall each one, as I highly doubt they’re able to do an OTA update a la tesla for this. There is hardly a whisper of it when you...

It’s a shame elon even replied to this. These are not even close to truly dangerous levels. And the original comments about dropping to below 500 with windows down is quite dumb when ambient CO2 levels are in the 400s. Furthermore, this is what every vehicle’s recirc does. Of course the CO2...

Done the Dakotas, but really all East/west. In fact most my travel is east/west it seems. Ha. I can appreciate what you’re saying. Just haven’t run into an issue yet. I also only recommend long range to people looking for a complete vehicle replacement.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

These headlines of “Tesla China Sales Drop” are always comical. They purposely ignore (in the headline at least, which is all most see/understand in 2022) that they’re up 200% yoy, that the month is only 28 days, and that there are even fewer days due to Chinese New Year. Headlines should really...

No kidding. That’s great and all, but how does one know when the knife has finally settled in and is vibrating? It never looks like a falling knife when you first reach for it. It’s only after, when your palm is splayed open that you realize it.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

This is so incredibly true and relevant. We have FSD beta on both our vehicles. Overwhelming reason I disengage or do something different from FSD is to avoid road rage from aggressive drivers. It’s comical that human drivers brought the stop sign roll to the attention of nhtsa when humans do...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I do have FSD beta on both vehicles. Not sure if that matters, but maybe? The only time unwanted slowing occurs is when there is a mapping issue (so NOT a vision issue). For example, I’m in 3rd lane from the fast leftmost lane and the vehicle thinks the 4th lane (slow lane) is ending and there...

Haven’t had true highway “phantom braking” in a long time. Older 3 and recent Y. Switch to vision only has been successful for us.

And her quote is even more misleading. Rarely do you need to bring your Tesla in for a “recall”. Rather, an OTA update is sent. However, you ALWAYS have to bring your legacy company vehicle in for a recall.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Some of the headlines today are beyond bonkers. I won’t link anything, but article by an Ananya Bhattacharya: “Why Does Tesla Keep Recalling Cars?” First paragraph: “ If you buy a Tesla, there’s a good chance the company will need it back to fix a serious problem. Nearly 1 million cars have...

Probably wishful thinking, but Minneapolis is currently discussing a portion of downtown/uptown in regards to widening the sidewalks, single lane roads with little street parking starting in 2024. Are they seeing the future Elon sees with less need for parking as robotaxis come and go...

Your bullet 3 is simply not accurate. Roadster funded S and S helped to make 3/Y possible. Those are the mass market vehicles. Elon has already said Part 1 is complete. Part Deux clearly discusses autonomous vehicles. Please refer to this link: https://www.tesla.com/blog/master-plan-part-deux

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Every legacy automaker says this sort of silliness, and it’s getting stale. “We will be the leader in EV by 2030.” “We will have 15 EVs by 2030.” “We will sell this or that by some fairly remote date.” This is precisely what Elon and friends were talking about on the call. It was truly under...

I don’t fully disagree with your post, but Elon 100% expected the level of demand they’re seeing with the Y. He said as much multiple times before they even started deliveries, and of course continues to say as it will be the biggest selling vehicle in the world. I say this to point out some...

Our Fremont Y from Q4 is the best vehicle we’ve ever owned. Far superior to our 3 yo 3. 4680, from my rudimentary understanding, is more about efficiencies for Tesla and far less about actual improvements or advantages to the vehicle.

I expect that CT deliveries will be buzzing by end of Q2 2023 and already surpassing total deliveries of Ford or Rivian trucks. Tesla’s manufacturing prowess is still underestimated, even now as people learn just how far ahead of other manufacturers they are.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

They actually stated the opposite regarding cells. They are NOT battery constrained. Chip and other supply issues are the rate limiting factors. I think the CT is delayed for 2 primary reasons. One is that launching it this year while also ramping up 2 factories on different continents will...
