Happening for me too. I fixed it temporarily by uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but the problem came back in a few days :-( I hadn't noticed the charge stats problem, but just checked and I have that issue as well.

It did not persist. Next time in the car the BT again would not connect. As before, the car was still listed in the phone's list of BT connections and vice versa. Again, I had to delete the phone from the car's BT list and pair it again.

Agreed on OEM. The replacement is infrequent, the OEM part is not that expensive, and the equipment it goes in -is- expensive.. An exemplar for a time to use the manufacturer part.

I think I'd allow "bricked" to be any condition requiring the manufacturer (or service center, etc.) to do the recovery. That could be using special tools, or worse case, complete replacement of the offending electronics. Just my $0.02 as a firmware engineer. BTW over the years I've worked on...

Yep, firmware engineer here :D The key still working shows that the hardware connection between the phone an the car still works; so, it's not a total fail of BT on either side.

That's the point, it's not still connected. That is, the car still has the connected for the phone and the phone still has the connection for the car, but attempting to start the connection fails.

Just noticed I never followed up here. The interior camera was faulty and the headliner was mounted too low. It was hanging down into the site line. The Service Center fixed both under warranty.
