Feel like this is the red headed step child of supercharger locations. I wonder if there's been any other charger that has had a target ETA slip for as much as this one has for several years now.

Naw, look at Waukesha, WI and at a time, a supercharger that was on the Ohio Turnpike...hell even Lincoln was a mess.... No ground is broken so I'm not worried. Usually, superchargers here in the CO area pop up really quickly. They do not play around here lol

Don't worry, according to the Tesla website, it's still on track for Q2 2023! 🤣

It is odd that this was the only Q2 site I've seen where they didn't update the target date (other delayed sites were simply given a '2023' target, like Las Cruces, NM).

This site has been long delayed, but it does have company in sites like Okanogan WA, Kayenta AZ, or Cody WY (those last 2 don't even appear as coming soon on the map anymore).

I stopped by on 9/30 and there's still no sign of activity. As I think has been mentioned before, there's a transformer for the existing L2 charger which looks way too big for a single L2, so maybe that can be used for the SC if they ever break ground here. Slightly off topic...I saw what appeared to be 3 or 4 non-Tesla L3 chargers in Monte Vista. I think it was near the Safeway. There was an M3 parked there as I drove by at about 6AM, so I assume it's operational. It's not on Plugshare, so if anybody knows about it, please reply. Despite the lack of an SC along US-160, the route is now fairly well covered with CCS chargers, so if you have the CCS adapter, there's no obstacle to driving around southern Colorado.

Those charging pylon bases look a lot like the new V4 bases seen at the new Oregon V4 site.
Alamosa is left pic; Oregon site is right 2 pics.
This looks like a V4 site to me!

Are v4s built as a set like the v3s?? 4 per set?

So there’s the V4 pedestals w/ normal V3 charging cabinets. That’s the only thing we’ve seen deployed in the wild and those at still 4 pedestals per charging cabinet, typically.

Then there’s the upcoming V4 power cabinets that presumable support higher power and higher voltage. We know nothing about the system architecture for those.

I think the key for this site is what’s in the big brown boxes…. Those are the charging posts. The boxes look about the same size as typical 4-packs of v3 charging posts. Put another way, the boxes look too small to be the new taller v4 posts. Also, the two other v4 sites in North America under construction had what looks like all work completed without the charging posts being onsite. They were delivered at the very end of the job. Many v3 sites built have had the charging posts delivered at the same time as the supercharger cabinets and switchgear/site controller cabinet as we see in these pictures.

So chances are, this is a regular v3 project.
