We visited the Santana Row (San Jose) store Sunday to check out the new beta. It really is a step up in fit and finish. However, while driving on Stevens Creek towards 85, a white Model S came out of Santana Row and onto Stevens Creek behind us. That's our second sighting in the "wild."

It appears that the Union of Concerned Scientists use well-to-wheels analysis on the EVs. Does anyone know if they used well-to-wheels analysis on the ICE cars?

Yep. We installed our Roadster personalized plates onto our Buick Regal GS until the Roadster arrived. "MY TESLA" on a Buick caused a LOT of odd looks from others tailgating the Buick. When the Roadster arrived, we transferred the plate.

We got the new HID lights a few days ago. All I can say is OMG! What an improvement. It's nice to actually see where we are going at night. Well worth the wait and cost.

I've been told that the new HID option does include new headlight assemblies. Since our headlight assemblies are failing -- the protective cover is coming off in patches -- I'm ready to do the new HID option rather than a standard headlight assembly replacement.

My wife drove a '96 Buick Regal with "MY TESLA" until our Roadster arrived. Though the Buick got a lot of quizzical looks, it was worth it. Get what you want before someone else get is!

That's why we're heading there next week. When I tell my friends the Roadster does 0-60 in under 4 seconds, they are impressed but don't really get it. When I tell my Disneyland/DCA-loving friends that the Roadster has California Screamin' acceleration, they clearly understand.

My wife spotted a Roadster while we were in a bus headed up the grade that goes from San Luis Obispo to Santa Margarita Sunday morning. It was nice seeing a Roadster even if we weren't in ours. Is the owner on the forum?

I did Lands End to John O'Groats with my late wife in our 1950 MG-TD. I'd love to do it in my Tesla Roadster. Have a great time and keep us updated.

2006 GMC Envoy Our Model S will replace a 2006 GMC Envoy. And it will reside next to our 2008 Tesla Roadster. We look forward to the arrival day.

Morning Sighting This morning while driving my Very Orange Roadster to work, I came to a 4-way stop just as a Racing Green Roadster came to the stop on my left. That was a first for me! A double sighting.

We take delivery of our car in the next week, so we will be at the Palo Alto Concours until about 11am (50th birthday of a friend trumps a car show). Are you going to do the drive on Saturday? It looks like fun.

Tesla March09 Newsletter Teg, where does the Tesla March09 newsletter reside? I've looked in the owners area and the most "recent" newsletter is Jan08. "Enquiring" minds want to know.

The roadster will replace a 1994 Buick Regal GS and the Model S will replace a 2006 GMC Envoy. Nothing will replace the 1950 MG-TD, so we'll still have a "gas hog."

He probably will show up in his "gas hog" Prius (his words) which he uses when he has to travel a distance such as to the Bay Area. But a fleet of Teslas would be wonderful even if he doesn't arrive in his roadster.

Whole Set? I hope the Smart ED isn't Bluestar. If so, I'll have to settle for a roadster and sedan rather than the whole Tesla set.
