2015 vs 2016 - 90D Range?

I was given a 2015 90D as a loaner today with 61,782 miles. It was charged to 73%. Stopped at a SC on the way home to go to 90%. It charged to 238 miles at 90% (which should be 264 miles at 100%). If the true rated range of this pack was 288 miles that puts the degradation at 8.3% That seems pretty good after 4 years.

2017 90D definitely registered 294 when it was new, but it's now around 274 (100%) @ 50,000 miles, and Tesla Service says nothing is wrong with it....

i just bought mine used, an August 2016 battery date with 35k miles and get exactly the same.. 274 rated range@ 100%. ideal range is like 310 fwiw. i bought it that way though so cool with it. hopefully somewhat stable from here.

Americans should calculate their energy from rated miles for 90D (not P90D) as this;
miles * 0,285Wh/mi. So @Dypkny845 = 253 * 0,285 = 72kWh. That's actually one of the worse off ones I saw. Unless it is a P90D. If it is a 90D with this figure it is 15,7% degradation.

For EU cars it shows the Typical which is 300Wh/mi for 1km of typical. So my car (a 90D) shows 419km(260mi) when 100%. So 260*0,300 = 78kWh. Which is 8,7% degradation.

IMHO 8,7% is more than what I was anticipating. It has only been 958 days since its production i.e. 2 years and 7 months. It has done 51,5k miles and most of it is AC. Seldom DC charge use. I would expect 5-6% but I'm not going to fuss over 2-3% more degradation. I have at least 5 years of warranty still remaining for the pack so I might get a replacement until then anyway.
