Tesla Timeline -- Almost Here
I've been rather excited since I ordered (and before to be candid.) Yesterday, 2017.05.06, I stopped by the Delivery Center to see if it was there. It was in the parking lot -- with matching VIN -- and they let me sit in it. I'm told that I will likely hear tomorrow (Monday) a proposed delivery appointment day and time. I'm very flexible this week so anytime is perfect.

Hope these updates assist other to understand and anticipate the process, and, triangulating with other data provided by others, calculate when their own vehicle may arrive.

Got a call from overly excited person. Model X vin 454__ being delivered to my music buddy up here next week. He's excited for sure. Forgot the last 2 vin digits he told me, but probably doesn't matter anyway. I guess I have to drive over there and give some lessons !

I've been checking MyTesla everyday even though my DS told me it's trending to be in production towards middle of may and today I finally see CAR IS IN PRODUCTION!!!

The original information I received from my DS regarding the production start date was inaccurate. Production didn't actually begin until April 17th (MyTesla updated to "in production" but no e-mail, on the 19th that status changed to BIW (body in white) according to my DS, and I got the "production complete" e-mail on Saturday night (April 22nd). Estimated Delivery Range is June - Early July according to MyTesla.

Estimated delivery range has now changed to Late May - June. DS says June 9-23. Long boat ride to Dubai...

I have also been checking MyTesla everyday and this morning the the status changed to "Your Tesla is in production". My DS told me earlier this week that it was still on schedule to start production within a week plus or minus a few days. I happy it ended up being minus a few days.

Sorry Keymaster. Mine got pushed from March to May. Just picked it up 2 days ago and drove 1,100 miles yesterday in a 24 hour period. The wait was hard, but I'm happy now. (I will be happier when auto steer and TACC kicks in, which has not happened yet.)

I ordered and was confirmed around your dates and my original delivery was June, which changed to June - early July right after order. My car is now in production and so a June delivery is likely. I would think you were always going to get it in June like me and your production should start soon.

Originally the estimate was June 30th to early July, and that quickly moved up to built, shipped, and to be delivered between June 1st and June 15th. That went quick!
