Car ordered 14 October. Final invoice appeared in account on 9 November with 'Scheduled delivery date' of 9 December - two weeks before I expected it based on quoted 10 week lead time.Today a credit note has appeared apparently reversing the 'Final invoice'. I called Tesla sales who didn't seem to be able to explain what was happening but said that according to their information, the car should be available 14-21 December. The VIN is still visible in the account source code so presumably the car is still 'allocated'. I haven't received any communication from Tesla other than these documents appearing on my account page. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

What was your order number and what did you order? I’ve placed my order directly with Tesla, SR+ on the 15th of October and nothing yet, no SC vin nothing. My order nr. is RN109658xxx. Maybe I can work it out how long I have to wait till something changes and I have some updates. I’m soo impatient....

@G2ULS , as a possibly useful data point, I ordered a M3 LR on 23rd October, reservation number was RN109681xxx. SC VIN appeared earlier this week. Original delivery date was 9th December, something I only discovered when I telephoned Tesla yesterday to change my order to a similar car that was on inventory, and sitting at Southampton docks.

I was told I should get a delivery date and time next week.

I am on my forth invoice ( third credit note) I did cancel one delivery a while back but the dates of the invoices / credit notes never actually seemed to line up with anything. Not saying it happens to everyone but credit notes randomly appearing on your account is not uncommon. Can't say one way or the other if its an issue or not but if Tesla tell you delivery is still on then I wouldn't worry too much. sounds like it may have slipped a couple of days if Tesla are now saying 14th to 21st and the invoice says the 9th which is probably the reason.

My latest invoice (the third so far) gives a delivery date of 11th November, for an order changed on 8th November. During the 'phone conversation I was told that the car was at Southampton, so it seems a bit optimistic for it to get from there to West Drayton and be PDI'd ready for collection on Monday. During the same 'phone call I was told that I'd be notified of the delivery date/time in about a week.

I'm guessing that I may get a delivery slot some time the week after next. Hopefully this will give me time to get the V5 back from DVLA for my present car, so I can get it sold before I go to collect the M3, as I don't want to have to faff around trying to arrange insurance for both cars for any overlap period.

I am in pretty much exactly the same position, final invoice for delivery 28 November has today been credited but I still have a VIN allocated. I am assuming that its all ok but I perhaps should ring Tesla to find out.

I ordered a car from inventory on the 26th October have been given delivery date via email of the 15th November in Leeds. I have not received any invoice yet or any text messages. I called into the S/C on the 2nd Nov and was told the car was in Southampton

Thank you. Seems that LR models get assigned quicker than SR+ ones. But one useful info which I could work out that in only a week and one day the orders went up roughly by 23000 that’s MENTAL!!! I’d like to see a breakdown of the amount of orders each day

Reservation number may be global, rather than UK only, in which case that 23,000 figure may not be too far off the mark, perhaps.

Collected today after all sorts of trouble but well worth the wait!

The S85D loaner they gave me on Thursday didn't have the dual chargers fitted so the 22kW destination charger I'd planed to use to recharge for the 110mile return trip to Stockport was limited to 16A and kept cutting off. Gave up after two hours and 5 miles added to try the nearest Ecotricity charger. I would have charged overnight at home but the S won't fit down the lane let alone in the garage (hence why I was waiting for the 3). Range anxiety to the max before even getting the car!

Of course, with no Chademo or CCS adapter supplied, I was still using the Type 2 AC plug but at least I was getting 30-45mph now. Scratched together enough charge over a couple of sessions yesterday and today to limp to the Warrington Supercharger at 65mph in eco mode with 7% remaining in the rain and sleet. Both stalls were full so had a 10 minute wait before connecting there for 15 minutes and then continued to Stockport in relief, only an hour and ten minutes late for the appointment!

Trip home was a joy though and all was forgotten a few miles in with smiles all 'round, even the weather improved.

Potentially urban myth, but at pickup on Thursday, Tesla staff were telling of complaints from Birmingham because some customer got a plate like BJ69COK or something equally pornstar like ... Mine was SL69OWx which is about to be changed when the V5c comes in.

Out of interest what were the problems leading up to the M3 collection? Why the loaner?

About 20 minutes before the original collection time I got a call telling me that a fault had come up on the screen of my car and that I'd be unable to drive it. They knew what the problem was and they had the spare part, in Leeds (car was in Stockport). As it happened, some Stockport staff were returning from Leeds (from a training day, I think) later on that morning so could bring the part with them and they could then start on the repairs ASAP.

I pointed out that my old car was being sold in about an hour and a half so they hastily arranged for the loaner so I could get back home. They also said they'd re-reimburse my hotel stay for the previous night, nice gesture. New collection was rearranged for today.

As I said in an earlier post, I really can't complain abut the Stockport staff as they were all very apologetic and I felt looked after despite the bad news. Today's troubles were, I think, mostly down to me not making sure the loaner was going to be suitable before driving off on Thursday or asking for a like-for-like loaner!

I'm seeing a lot of people on here who have ordered mid-October with estimated delivery dates for late November/Early December, but I ordered mid-September and I'm yet to hear anything!

I guess this is the issue with ordering through a third-party lease company, I'm not sure I get any documents on Tesla's account page where I can view an estimated delivery date. (If someone can confirm/deny that I'd appreciate it!)

I might try calling them some time and seeing if they can help. I've sent a few messages online but never get a reply, I assume they're just swamped with people asking for estimate deliveries so it's better to contact my delivery location instead I'd imagine. :)

Seems to depend on what you ordered. There’s a large batch of M3P & LR shipped across recently so they don’t appear to have to wait as long.

I ordered on the 25th (M3P White on white) and haven't got a VIN, delivery etc. Did call last week and they said delivery end of November/first week of December. Really does seem to be a lottery when you get all these things. Not going through a leasing company or anything like that. Thought my car would be fairly common, but just got to be patient I suppose!
