2021+ Model S and Model S Plaid Refresh Issues Thread

I hit my first real issue today. Previously my console door broke, but I suspect I know who did that so I don’t really count it.

But my current issue is that I have no visualization on the driver display and therefore no autopilot or cruise control. This happened yesterday and I have no clue why. I figured with a reset it would come back, but it has not.

I’ve been in contact with service and they’re checking the cars logs to see if they can identify what’s going on. More will be revealed probably tomorrow.

I had posted this in the delivery update thread, but thought I should post here in case it could help someone that isn't following that thread. Plus, I've included a few more photos in this message. .
I was coming from a Model 3, so I sort of knew what to expect. But I didn't expect this many issues!
But otherwise, the car is an absolute blast and a beast!

Photos of some of the cosmetic issues attached.

Protip - When doing the inspection, you should also take pictures. We had the Tesla rep take at least over 10 photos of issues and then found out before we left that we need to take pictures ourselves again and submit a service request. Note that the service request only allows for 5 photos per issue, so you may need to merge a couple photos into one.

Some notes:

I've tried to remove the marks on the console material unsuccessfully.

That black portion on the bottom of the wireless front wireless charger is rough/scuffed up.

I also have a small dent in the front interior dash grill, but I'm letting that go as I can live with it. (compared with everything else)

Looks like they had tried to use some touch up on one side, near where the front hinge is, near the windows, but the other side (pictured in 3rd photo in, is worse and without any touch up paint)

VIN# 435xxx

Instead of "oh *sugar*" handles, you have have to "oh *sugar*, palm the right side of the yoke".
Yeah and activate the wipers and voice control at the same time. It's a great experience. Especially since it's usually about 5 seconds later than I wanted to blow the horn because I tried the center of the yoke first. At least it should be in thumbs reach instead of nearest the center. I don't know, but I really don't think it was a good call.

Idea: How hard would it be for a 3rd-party to build a thin cover to the yoke center, which also connects to the horn button?

This would solve both the worm/vein problem, and allow us to hit the yoke center to sound the horn.
That issue is what happens when the airbag explodes. You don't want something that impedes the expansion of the airbag or turns to shrapnel a la Takata.

Is your back door trim also misaligned? The silver and wood/CF part where they meet the body of the car on the inside?

I wish they'd replace it with a damn horn in it. There is only 1 thing I don't love about the car and that's the horn location...I hate it.
It would be hilarious if they tried to give us "Auto Horn Honk (beta)" "Your Model S will predict when you would need to honk the horn and it will automatically honk as well as creat a dash cam recording of the event."
