Actually the satellite data says the ship is going to/from Gwanyang, S Korea. She is currently just entering the anchorage just off Shanghai.

The most annoying thing is this chap discovered "the window of enlightenment" a couple of years ago but only told me about it 2 weeks before the last ship left Pier 80 to Europe last May when I made a prediction error.
I remember reading last year someone saying they believed the VIN would appear in our Tesla accounts hidden as soon as the car was loaded onto the vehicle carrier ship. If that's true, where in that process would the matching occur? It should be possible to match orders to VINs automatically ( that seems simple compared to FSD) but is that really the situation in play now or not. I would have thought there is a delay after car loading on the boat of a number of days while Tesla humans do some checks then run scripts etc.. to assign VIN's to customer orders. Delivery dates can surely only be confirmed when the boat has left port and a bit nearer to the time otherwise any bad weather/delays could impact it.

Funny you should ask, because I have just been informed that she was originally due to depart around 11pm UK time tonight (as is DON JUAN) but it now appears that she has a problem and probably won't be ready then and may have to delay her departure until the next high tide which should be around midday tomorrow UK time.
This has a knock-on effect on another ship that was planning to do a crew change in Shanghai tomorrow and now has to rearrange flights, COVID tests etc etc. Very pixxed off crew taking to bulletin boards to complain!
GLOVIS SUNRISE is now making her way up the Yangtze River, I assume to take the place of DON JUAN.

Did I misunderstand you? I thought that HYPERION RAY was having problems and would be delayed. Did you mean DON JUAN and will GLOVIS SUNRISE then head for S. Korea?

HYPERION RAY's departure is delayed. DON JUAN will depart and I assume GLOVIS SUNRISE will dock in the space left by DON JUAN.
We don't know where GLOVIS SUNRISE will depart to.
Yep It's looking very promising.
ETA is quite reasonable too. ETA Southampton around 7 Feb however if she's heading to Zeebrugge, then 8 Feb.
