$2500 CA Rebate Experience?

Reviving this thread to compare with other folks that may have submitted recently. Just sent in today and it's estimating 92 calendar days for approval.

It takes some time. Applied Oct, approved mid Dec and check to be mailed within 90 days of approval.

I applied mid October, still no updates. At the time they indicated 63 days processing, as of the 15th it will be 90 days, they are very behind.

Applied start of Oct and the website still just says paperwork received...

I suspect all the folks who bought at the end of Q3 just beat me to applying by a few days and the 1 state worker assigned to this went from filling out 1 app a day to 23,732 a day...

I applied end of September, and got paperwork confirmation 12/11/18.

Today I got an email that my check is on the way! They said 90 days from paperwork acceptance, and this is just under 30 days so the checks at least are going out quickly. I think the expected wait time said 67 days.

Preapproval docs submitted Nov. 7, message saying docs received on Nov. 8. Estimated time was 72 days (Jan 19). Car was delivered Dec. 30.

Rarely do I say this, but I have to say our provincial government in BC got this rebate thing right. They make the EV seller discount you car by the rebate amount ($5000) and they have to apply for the funds. The buyer never needs to pay for it or do any paperwork or wait.

It also way easier for the government as instead of a bunch of applications for rebates and a bunch of cheques they just get the dealers sending in one application each with all the rebates on it.

Applied in early October. Got an email in December that they wanted to do income verification, so we had to authorize them to obtain our returns from the IRS. May take a while.

How long did it take for Tesla to upload the "signed" documents? It's been almost 2 months and I don't see anything. I checked my account under the vehicle's detail link (Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement). I see the blank sales agreement, no signatures or dates.

How long did it take for Tesla to upload the "signed" documents?

Also needed signed paperwork to apply for state rebate. Since I live close to the Fremont delivery center I went back there a week after picking up my car and asked the sales team for copies of the forms. I honestly don't remember if they ever posted them to my account.

Dammmnnnn...my sales guy told me a copy would be sent out in a few weeks. Tesla customer service told me via email that all signed copies would be sent out 30 days after delivery. The delivery was a fiasco...now this.

Approval came through today. The email indicates that the check should go out within 90 days.
