Thanks all for your replies. I think I'll wait a while before I decide what to do. As you say, the LR is a fast car anyway, and I'll get used to driving it first. AB could be something to add in the future.
Sounds like a sensible plan - pretty much what I did. After six months of ownership I had got used to the 'standard' LR acceleration, so the Boost (a birthday present to myself ) added a bit more enjoyment. I do still notice the boost on occasion - I rarely need to floor it, but that bit of extra poke is there when needed, and it still brings a smile
Yes of course, strange thing is that for the past few days every journey has been below 220Wh/m & several below 200 even though I have been driving pretty much as I always do (maybe my right foot is getting as slow as my brain?)

What made me pull the trigger on AB was the fact it was tax allowable on the company car (I bought the car using my own company) but only for the 12 months after the original purchase of the car.
maybe
but the joke was supposed to be that an SR+ is slower than an LR in Valet mode. which of course it isn't. That's why its funny. Or at least I thought so.
yet slightly insulting to SR+ owners hence the offer to leave
I'm here all week. Tip your waitress
