Does anyone know how much wheel weight affects range? Currently have 18” Aeros. I’d like to move up to 19”s (same width/tire) but without a range hit. The setup I’m looking at is very light (20lbs each). Mostly drive around town. Very little freeway.

weight shouldn't affect range much. It will have impact on acceleration though.

tread and aerodynamics will affect range.

I lost about 20 Wh when i moved from 18" to 19", but the rims were about the same weight. I think its mostly due to tire selection, not aerodyanmics (I wasn't using aero cover)

Thanks. I still plan to use efficient “green” tires. Also plan to lower the car a bit with Unplugged’s new SR+ springs. Hopefully I end up around the same Wh/mile.

The issue may be that you are using two different diameter tires. They are about 8mm different.

Glad you all called that out. I could see the logo in some of the pics, in others it wasn’t there so I wasn’t sure. Definitely don’t want a big TSportline logo on my rims.

I thought about it some more...It’s weird that say that. People going staggered are about 1% more or less. Why would that amount be any different?
