Air conditioning broken 1 week in

not great for sure - but that's what warranty is for.
Have seen a couple of other posts about a/c issues - maybe Tesla's suppliers have delivered a bad batch

Dude is simply calling out—not complaining—an issue with a new model release, lending credit to the people staying on the fence until said new model works out the bugs.

Is the car having a warranty a cop out for reliability? Of course not. Please don't be hostile towards fellow owners.

Had a similar issue. A/C was not working when car was stopped. Worked fine when moving. Ended up being condenser fan not working.

Emailed Tesla SC on Tuesday. Picked up car and dropped off loaner on Wednesday. Diagnosed problem on Thursday and ordered part. New part arrived Monday. Car returned on Tuesday.

Can't say enough good things about Tesla service!

Often, when things are wrong they break quickly. Nothing to be too surprised about when it breaks after just one week. Tesla will take care of it..

Not necessarily. My previous BMW 650 gave me a "check engine" and "reduced engine power - drive carefully" the morning after I purchased it. Worked flawlessly after that.

Congratulations on your new X. I am sure you will enjoy it after it is fixed.

Infant mortality happens. Unfortunate. I'd rather have it fail after a week than six months after the warrantee expires though. That happened to my Model S, and it cost over $4k to fix.

these parts are subcontracted-Tesla doesnt build them...no they shouldn't break, but that doesnt necessarily suggest future issues...wait and see is probably the best strategy....

Happened to my wife's Acura MDX...Faulty new part and they replaced it. We never thought about putting it on a forum since they jumped right on it. Would have been a different story if they hadn't.

The AC broke on my Leaf really early in also. Sh*t happens....
