Just curious if anyone has 50k+ miles on their Plaid. If so, have you noticed any loss in performance compared to when your car had less than 20k miles? It's true that the older Model S (including my prior P100D) lost some performance at higher miles. However, my 2021 Plaid has almost 40k miles and I haven't noticed any loss in performance compared to when it was new.

Someone in the comments section of a YT vid with 35k miles on his plaid claims his 1/4 miles trap speeds are 2-3 mph slower now compared to when his car was new. Even though my car seems to feel as quick as it did when it was new, I don't do 1/4 miles runs and I don't have a draggy so IDK. Any thoughts ??

Does a couple 32nds of tread depth matter?

I'm not a race car driver so honest question.

50k miles worth of road grime could be getting gunked up somewhere near the wheels too, no? Gunked up relatively speaking of course.
lol I’m not sure but I doubt it. My tires were changed 6k miles ago and the car felt identical afterwards compared to before the tires were changed.

57k miles here. Car is definitly slightly slower by looking at my dragy runs but im thinking they cut a little power in an update or something. Im noticing even some of the newer cars arent running 150+ in the quarter as often (me included) like they were 1-2 years ago but definitely still high 140s.

How are your 60' times? Wondering if the tire ware/compound is limiting your traction

Interesting.. do you remember at what mileage your car was no longer achieving 150mph trap speeds ? What is your exact trap speed these days? Cheers

When i first got the car was doing 1.55 60ft and well withing the low 9.3 range. Runs 97-104 were all in 2021 when car was pretty much new. Runs 57-68 i switched back to the 19 inch wheels to get fastest times and was still hitting at least 150 plus some some low 9.3 times when i got the same 1.55 or lower 60ft. I had about 12-15k miles then and was still doing in the 4.7-4.8 60 to 130. Where i saw performance start to slightly go down was around jan this year. Nothing changed exept i did bring to car in to look at a burning High voltage harness that was replaced under warranty. Runs 23-30 were on lighter 19 inch wheels and unplugged performance CCB brakes and with about 38k with on the car. Runs 31-33 last year was with about 34k and before the harness change. Now i am on the track pack set up and figured due to more tire and a heavier wheel set up my performance would go down a little bit more so i stopped comaring to my old times but ill still list them. Runs 17-22 were on the track pack setup about 50k miles and even hitting low 1.52 60ft now because of the good years but now strugling to hit 9.3 unless i go with the wind or if i can manage a 1.4 60ft and definitly no more 150 mph runs. And runs 1-4 now on michelins but in the same track pack size now around the low 9.4 with a slight decline slope and mid 9.4 in the other direction and hitting 1.51-1.54 60 ft.

Edit: the last pic with the 9.33 run was right after the first 9.31 pic.

While still on the stock 19 about the begining of the year at 38k miles ish. Late last year on the same setup at about 34k miles i was still over when the car had a high charge. Im on the track pack set up now so now im around 147-148 and with a low 60ft about 149 if im lucky.

what are you trapping with a 1.6 60ft? I’m asking for a comparison to my own vehicle. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately dont have too many recent 1.6 60ft runs since i hook up pretty well with the track pack setup. But the most recent one this year still on the 19s but with carbon ceramic brakes on the front was a 1.57 60ft at 9.49 at 147.95 on 19s. And summer last year on irons a 1.6 60ft at 9.48 at 149.79 on 19s as well.
