Anyone bought a "raven" Model S in Australia?

I don't know. I ordered my Model S at the beginning of April, only for it to be delayed due to the upgrades.

My wife ordered an X in March. Neither of us have our vehicles yet. They ship on quarters, we understand that, however;

Over the last ~10 years we have bought new cars from Holden, Audi and Porsche and Tesla is BY FAR the worst service. Never have I dealt with a sales department who literally know nothing about vehicle timelines, shipping information etc. until the car is literally in their warehouse.

With both Audi and Porsche our cars were shipped from Germany and we were updated at least fortnightly through the process. We received calls to tell us 'it's on the boat', 'it's coming into Melbourne', 'it's coming through customs'.

When we call or email Tesla for an update 'Our ordering system is currently offline, we can't provide an update at the moment'.

In my opinion, Tesla have a unique product at the moment, so people who want a Tesla are generally willing to suffer through this. Once the other auto manufacturers catch up (whether traditional or startups) Tesla will have to lift their service game because I sure as *sugar* wouldn't buy another IF an alternative existed.
I'd say Tesla didn't want to ship any new MX or MS separate to the Model 3. Just chuck them all on one ship and save money. This means that your cars are probably on Cap Capricorn on the way to Sydney right now. This also supports why they may not be giving you any info since they can't disclose where the M3s are.

Nevertheless, I hope you guys get your cars soon! Once you have them the wait will be well and truly worth it. Great to see more Teslas in Melbourne as well, now I'm only hoping you're around Moonee Ponds/Essendon so I can spot you on the road.

Cap Capricorn AKL to SYD is a container ship so I don't think we're on that one. Do you have any more leads?

Thank God for that! Some of the reports from the USA section are disturbing and I was worried that Sydney service might be the same.
It’s very centre-dependent. Some centres in the US are great, some are terrible.
I can only speak for the Sydney service centre, but they have been amazing. Doesn’t feel quite as special as it used to in the early days but still very good.

This makes sense, I guess I am not the only one.

Looks like some really bad management occurring in Australia. I feel sorry for Elon in a way, as I can't imaging the amount of incompetence he has to put up with.

When I called the Melbourne delivery centre, they basically said the same thing you mentioned. "System is down and we are waiting for it to come back online". then no replies.

L O L.

I have told Tesla I don't want old stock. If they can't deliver a new car I am not buying one.

I think it might be best I wait for a couple more years, my Model S is only 3 years old.

I don't want the company to suffer. But it's really only going to be because of the company's internal factors that cause the most damage to them. They barely have any competition at all in the electric space.
