Anyone received UWB (Ultra Wideband) phone key functionality on Refreshed MS?

Alright… i guess by now 100% of users with 4.43 confirmed that all UWB functions are broken.
The bad news is that sometimes it takes Tesla a month to 2 months to release a new app version :S

update. tesla just released app update 4.34.1 a few moments ago. i just downloaded it but didn’t drive my model s today so i cant test it.

Probably fixed. It’s now showing up in Nearby Interactions.

Tested and I can confirm the the NEW 4.34.1 IS WORKING!!!!!!
Note that am referring here to UWB which was removed in 3.34.0 app version

yesssss! thank god the app fix didn’t take long. i was really enjoying the accuracy of the uwb.

I just updated it and saw nothing changed when opening the app. Do you get a prompt for accessing nearby interaction? Does the phone need to be connected to the car for that to happen?

I got a note that the app wants “nearby interaction” access. Maybe u need to be near the car at least once after the update and restart ur phone

Mine still isn’t working since upgrading the app, for some reason. It did beep twice, and then not again. I’ve no idea…

It works outside my garage. Interference in there.

Once I have the phone near the car and open the Tesla app, it requests nearby interaction permission. After that, hands free trunk works again. It seems the 4.34.1 update resolve the UWB permission issue.

Yup. Same exact experience here. Works great now since 4.34.1

Great. It also seems that with UWB car responds to phone key presence more precisely and timely. Glad Tesla fixed the app quickly.

Yeah when you're in Park, a mini version of your car pops up on the center screen, where you have access to the expected lock/open trunk/frunk functions.
I only saw because I took an S on a test drive.

Yes to clear up any confusion for prospective buyers:

- you can power-open and close the trunk from the display
- you can pop the frunk from the display
None different than previous years all the same

- UWB is awesome and makes it so that when you approach or walk away from the car it locks/unlocks with much more accuracy
- in addition, UWB also provides the ability to stand behind the trunk with the phone in your hand/pocket, it beeps 3x, and it opens hands free
- it works very well - except there was a bug with it where it didn’t work when using a particular version of the app
- that’s been patched, and back to normal

does any one find that the audible tone for the trunk auto open not consistent? i get it every once and awhile but most of the time i dont. either way it opens every time now so i guess i cant complain.. lol
