App Request - Start Car w/ Fingerprint

I have found myself using my wife's new model X a lot lately via the app instead of using the key fob. It would be great if Tesla could update their app to allow customers to authorize starting the vehicle without typing in the password each time. It's a pain in the butt if I am going to a few places to keep typing in the password when i leave and get back in to the car.

I never use the tesla app to start the car, but I have it as a backup in case something happens to my fob. If the app had fingerprint start capabilities, I may consider using it more often.

This definitely needs to happen! I don't use this feature often...but when I do, I prefer the fingerprint.

They are 3rd party apps like remote s, I use it on my Apple watch sometimes

I had some fun today...I was going to Disney World and I didn't feel like carrying the key. So I used the app to drive. I have done this numerous times...but today it decided not to unlock when I got back to the car. There was a signal, the car had a signal, but it just wouldn't connect for a long time. Restarted the app, and everything. Just didn't want to work. After about 30 minutes of thinking how stupid I was to not bring the key, it decided to unlock! Then another 15 minutes to start!!

iOS - no problem.
But for Android, I'd like a volunteer.
