Perhaps all of the unexposed metal should be painted that greenish yellow, like airplanes.
That way, the owner could change the exterior color easily and not be concerned about matching under hood, jambs, trunk and under-body colors.
I know modern vehicles are corrosion protected, but I assume there is value in a good paint covering other than pure visual appeal.
