Have you checked Delta Community Credit Union? I have used them for a few cars at very competitive rates. Haven't checked for the 3, yet. It looks like 2.68% is listed on their website. Not what you are looking for.

That's who I am planning to use - just submitted my application this morning. 2.68% is subject to your credit, debt-to-income, etc.

If you don't belong to DCCU, you need to open an account, but anyone in Metro Atlanta is eligible. You'll have to have a $5 savings account with them forever to be a "member".

Was contacted today by a delivery specialist for the first time. Was a bit shocked when they said my car was arriving in Decatur today (AWD non-P - details posted on page 1) and this was the first contact. I filled out the trade-in info a few hours after I got the call and now waiting for them to give me a $$ amount so we can close this thing out.

That's interesting.

My config:
Non-owner
Reserved 4/1/16
Ordered 6/27/18
AWD non-P
Red
Black interior
PUP
EAP
Sept - Nov estimate
Know the $$ amount according to the website.

I talked to Tesla sales yesterday and they stated mine order had been queued to a delivery specialist but not have a VIN or any other info yet.

Does anyone know if they have to let a personal check clear or just check funds are in the bank? I'd rather not pay for it until after a good inspection.

Just got my delivery update for Sep. 11th In Decatur!
I paid a bit over half in cash and financed the rest. Wonder if that also played into how quick I got my car. Ordered this past Thursday and got the VIN next day.

Non-owner
Ordered 8.23.18
RWD
MSM
Black interior
PUP

Delivery date set for the 11th.

I had said in a previous post, the Tesla rep I talked to said there were a lot of cancelation due to the tax credit pull in Canada. Everyone I had talked to said they hadn’t seen someone get a vin as fast as I did. Maybe just luck.

That’s almost certainly a RWD order. Either that or I’m about to get real butthurt.

Although me Delivery Estimate went back to October (from September), as of this morning my EDIT button is gone and they’re asking for loan details .....which I don’t have yet because my estimate was Oct-Dec just a week ago!

No calls or emails yet.....

Mine changed back as well. I've given up on having any clue when the new M3 will arrive. Since I'm all cash, have no trade in, and already owned one M3 (sob), I've made it as easy as possible for them, so it's all in their court.

For my original M3, they made me pay the day before the delivery so there was time for the wire to clear.

Thanks, I was just planning on giving them a personal check so I guess I'll talk it over with the DS whenever I get assigned one. The money is sitting in my bank account ready to hand over.

They will require you to pay via ACH before inspecting the car. You can still refuse delivery afterwards but you won’t get far unless you have the VIN and just go to the lot to find it and do an ad-hoc inspection.

Got my car today. I've never had a fast car before. This thing is nuts. RWD but still pulls super hard to 60 and still very hard past that to 100. So quiet and smooth, 80 feels like 60 and 100 feels like 80. When I went to my first delivery attempt I had only seen 3 Model 3s on the interstate going the other way. Kind of crazy to buy a car almost literally sight unseen. No regrets.

Hung out at the Decatur center for an hour or so today....

LOTS of new M3’s on the lot! Saw just about every color and both interiors. Quite a few Performance Upgrades as well as a lot of 18” Aeros which I’d guess are regular AWD Performance. Virtually every car had 8-18 Manufacture stickers.

They had about four concurrent Deliveries going on while I was there. Lots of smiling faces on new car owners.

BTW, still no badges on any bumpers and no spoilers for the P+.
