Thanks for all the replies, Got some quotes and found NRMA is the cheapest for me, ~1200 with Windscreen and Any repairer +800 excess. (As far as I am concerned windscreen and any repair are must for any Tesla)

My only issue with NRMA is the hire car is only for 14 days. A thread on this website suggests that repairs can take MONTHS! :S

did anyone who ordered an SR get a VIN yet? Seems to be LR being assigned at the moment.

Ordered SR 19/11 in Vic, no VIN or EDD either

Speaking of insurance, every quote I've gotten is 1700-2500 a year which is quite expensive. I am young (26) though so that might be it

Someone on the Tesla Model 3 & Y group on FB ordered a M3P on 18 Nov and received his VIN today. Interestingly he also mentioned having to accept the range decrease message, like those who ordered the LR.

The message that people have posted a screenshot of says it is because of the faster entertainment computer.

This is a screenshot of the message from Tesla, requesting acceptance for delivery. The new Ryzen processor uses more power, resulting in lower range.

The LR and P have the same battery, so not surprising really. I guess when the base model changed from "SR+" to just "Model 3" they already took the Ryzen into account for the range?

I have. Received it today. Booked on 29/11/2022. My Tesla Rep says my car was built 6 days ago and will come with the Ryzen processor as well as the Li-Ion battery. Delivery has been given as between Feb17-Mar3
