I'll be having the service centre install it then there can be no question. They can torque it as required, if it's within spec of the load rating if that bracket and I'm not overloading the base, I'm happy.

Thanks ChrisW67 that explains it not that I hold a lot of value in an EDD just didnt wanna be left out. Im half way between Sydney and Brisbane and for all the hassle and bother to wait in ques at airports think Im gunna let them deliver even if it takes another week.

SA just replied that roof racks should be back in stock soon, but given they've been due in soon since i test drove in december, i think that's just sales talk.

And us here december, January February M3 rwd orders having no hope for Q3 deliveries. And yet whoever ordered MY in mid June getting deliveries. What a rub in the face that is.

In Qld, it's all done as part of the rego. I don't know but perhaps Tesla let you pick the insurer as part of the rego set up.
