For changed VINs can you check if it’s a later built date? Otherwise they could’ve just shuffled VINs reassignments around on vehicles that were in the GC?

Only the app has the new VIN for me, the invoice hasn’t been updated (yet?) and still shows the old VIN. Invoice states 25.09 for my build date. Will keep an eye on it

It’s possible but seems like a hassle for not much benefit. The last parts after PC is the serial and my new one is in the 3 range, whereas the old was close to yours eg 189xxx. It leads me to believe this is non GC also combined with the accelerated EDD

Exactly right, maybe it’s all just an illusion. We will still getting the 6 month old Stinkship cars

New VIN and EDD now Feb 2 - Feb 23.

I just checked my application for registration which was also updated, fields in yellow need to be completed and form sent back.

My rego paperwork was done late Nov. I will have to check with Tesla where my revised paperwork is

I wonder if Tesla are actually hoping that we'll all cancel our orders.
In a way, that would actually help them.
Soon as we cancel, we're no longer a PR nightmare, they don't have to scramble to fix the problem and they can sell the cars to other folk saying that they'll be delivered in March.
Sure, they'll lose our business, but after all that (hasn't?) happened, that's now on the cards anyway.
My order was placed in August and I was sent the "we'll look for another car" email, not the EAP offer.

If Tesla wanted our orders canceled, then Tesla would go ahead and cancel them.

You made me check. Mine has changed as well and the expected delivery is two weeks earlier on the app.

Mine has changed as well my old one was 189XXX the new one is 362XXX

Yep my order now has a new VINin in the PC36#### range (previous VIN was PC18####). And my EDD (Melbourne) is now Jan 28 - Feb 18 which is nearly 3 weeks earlier than the last updated EDD. The cars will be here soon enough!

I believe VINs are sequential in time, and according to this post a vin ending in 266XXX was built on Nov 8th, so rough guess is 3XXXXX vins are going to be at least late Nov to Dec builds

You know part of our VINs now. I suspect those cars will be reassigned to other countries in Asia.

My Syd dates are also 2/2 to 23/2. Will be believed once they actually give me a delivery appointment.

Build dates for new VINS:


According to this page the build date for model Y VINs in the 189### range were in the first few days of October.

260582 was produced on 03 November. Shanghai is currently producing about 2,150 Model Ys per day, so VINs in the 363### range were manufactured on 20 December or thereabouts.

Upgraded with what? If you mean the refresh then I think no, that's not coming off the line until next year. Juniper which is the big upgrade will be for 2025 I think
