I took a month subscription to FSD having more than the usual driving for a few weeks. I liked FSD but it crapped out on me three times during three turns (two left and a right) in a single drive, so forget it, this is not for an ordinary driver like me, and giving up in the middle of a turn was unsafe.
I turned off FSD.
I had a 300 mile highway drive. With FSD off, it gave me two choices, single pull for TACC, double pull for EAC (TACC plus steering & EAC features). EAC was great, I loved being able to change lanes using the turn signals, it kept the car nicely in the lane, and even compensated a couple of times for trucks hugging the left lane marking too close. Very relaxing to drive with EAC, lower stress and less tiring. There was an option for navigate on autopilot, but I did not use it, and there is an option for traffic light/stop sign awareness which I also did not use (highway driving). I suppose once my FSD sub times out, good bye to EAC.
I would purchase EAC if was still available. As it stands, I'll take a month of FSD but only use the EAC component should I have significant highway driving. I found that the car drove very nicely with EAC. I wonder if it does as well in ordinary autopilot.
