I switched to a cash payment thinking i may get a quicker VIN. Edit disappeared. Then read in other forums that it can be a hassle to redo paperwork and may slow things down if you switch to a loan after a VIN. I called Tesla and they switched it back to a loan, no problem. Edit button still gone.
Does the J in the 9th place indicate 2019 model year?
It looks like they still put the VIN in the encoded Javascript data in the page, it's just not encoded anymore. Try this:
Mine is "null" right now because I haven't had a VIN assigned yet, but I'm willing to bet that it would show up there once you have it.Code:Tesla.ProductF.Data.Vin
If you want to see all the data available, just use:
and expand the object in the dev tools. Or use this:Code:Tesla.ProductF.Data
and it will expand it into a formatted JSON string for you to look at.Code:JSON.stringify(Tesla.ProductF.Data, 0, 2)
Pretty sure Tesla switched to 2018 Model Year around mid December 2017.J in 9th place indicates 2018 model year. H=2017, I is skipped, J=2018 and K=2019. Tesla assigns model years based on year of manufacture and likely won’t be manufacturing 2019 cars until January 2019.
Mine's blue. Congrats! What color is yours? I’m 641XX and mine is white. Picking up in Devon, PA on the 15th

In the developer menu, select java script console. then the very bottom of your browser.I'm a new member, but an old C/C++ programer. I don't know where to plug in your snippets of code. My default browser is Safari. Do I plug it in somewhere using the Develop menu?

Where's my blue sport wheels white interior hiding in here?
Ditto.... I feverishly go through Troy's spreadsheet everyday to check Blue/White seat deliveries..... Even though I know I'm probably still at least a month out from hearing anything.
