This is the most interesting thing I have read all week. I am a non-owner who reserved 4/11/16 and ordered AWD, solid black, 18 aero, EAP. Purchase agreement order date is 6/28. I’m sure I still have a ways to go before they get to me, however, this is still exciting to hear. The sad part for me is that our state DMV has restricted our local service center from doing test drives.

I am super curious as to whether the front brakes in the non-performance AWD are exactly as in the current RD .. or not...

This thread really should be about AWD non-P as those cars have their own queue, manufacture and delivery time. Clearly P models will be shipped to customers sooner than non-P AWD which is why knowing when non-P AWD starts shipping is important for a lot of people (me included).

Why would you think they weren't?

As far as I've seen any info, all model 3s have exactly thre same brakes except the P and only then if it gets the $5000 upgrade package.

Yes they are. I asked Tesla last week about that.
