I'm there the same day too! My appointment is at 1230. I'll have an extra iPhone cable to trade ;-)

Also, my account changed to accept payment but take the VIN assignment out as a step, even though my VIN is still there just fine. I have a hunch they are working to fix the computer issues.

Anyone else with Highland Park talk to a delivery advisor? My scheduling person has done everything with me, and she's been absolutely great. She is the one who reached out proactively to me to confirm details and push things along. I sort of assume that's enough?
We’re also from WI and picking up at Highland Park on 9/29. We have been working with an IDA in Vegas. No direct contact w/ Highland Park since my husband called there 9/19 just to confirm our order was in the system. Will probably try to call HP before we start our 3 hr drive there on Sat. Would hate to get there and find out our car’s not ready.

It’s going to be a party in Highland Park. I’m scheduled for 10am. I haven’t had any contact from any ISA yet though. DA scheduled earlier in the month and it’s been crickets since. I have my final MVPA, got an email to electronically sign it yesterday, but want to confirm some things before I do. Does your MVPA list Oak Brook as the delivery location?

@TechSavvyWife congrats on a Saturday delivery finally! Where are you picking up yours out of curiosity?
We just got our MVPA today. It shows Highland Park, not Oak Brook.

Got this text tonight:
This is ****** *******, Your Tesla Delivery Scheduling Advisor. Your Model 3 RN******* is ready to be picked up on 9/29/18 at our Devon delivery location! What time works best for you? (10AM to 7:30PM) Please feel free to text me back at this number, email, or call me at any time.

Giggity!! :D

Now I gotta figure out financing and trade-in in less than two days. Any tips?

Long time lurker, first time poster, long time waiter. What a trip so far...

Cincinnati, OH
Reservation 4/7/16
Order 6/28/18 (no changes or adjustments since order)

Model 3 LR AWD
Red Multi-Coat
Premium Black Interior
19" Sport Wheels
No EAP/FSD

No activity and painful waiting until last week, then as it turned out even more pain:
9/17/18 - Email scheduling delivery in Cincinnati for 9/26 5 PM - great DSA in Fremont (Michael)
9/18/18 - VIN and MVPA appear in account, also asking for final payment
9/21/18 - VIN and MVPA disappear on account - DSA involves new IDA in Vegas (Che - also great), car delivery still on
9/25/18 - (11 AM) Contacted by a DA via phone in Vegas (Heather), delivery cancelled - no ETA or anything to share
9/25/18 - (1 PM) Contacted by my IDA who reschedules me to this Friday 9/28 - no VIN yet

Apparently car tagged for me is scheduled to arrive tomorrow in Cincinnati, but time is uncertain. Thank goodness I have had good and responsive DSA and IDA agents, otherwise I would have lost my mind at this point (and really, I would think it is still a toss-up Friday will happen).

I want to believe. I want to be an evangelist. But I can't recall any purchase being this stressful and disjointed. Trying to keep the faith...
We have the exact same configuration. I agree it has been stressful, but I’m trying to laugh it off and enjoy it-kind of feels like all of us are helping to make automotive history, and I’m willing to put up with some stress and uncertainty for that, and for what is going to be an incredible car!

I just noticed something odd. My MVPA is now updated, still looking good for getting the car tomorrow morning. I printed out the MVPA and noticed that it had my deposit listed correctly, but it had listed the entire remaining amount in "customer down payment" and showed "Amount due from Buyer" as $0.00. I am picking up a cashiers check from my bank to take with me, but I hope the fact that the MVPA actually shows a due amount of 0 will not hold up the process to get the car. I printed it out to give them a laugh, but I do know I have to pay the money before I get my car. Anyone else see this hickup on your MVPA?
An additional MVPA question. What was the odometer reading showing on your MVPA? Was it accurate? My paranoia is running rampant. I have 50 miles on the MVPA under odometer, my VIN is a little older (070xxx compared to others I have read with VIN numbers in the 090xxx range or higher) Is this a car that has been driven and rejected by someone? Do I need to inspect it with an ultra fine tooth comb? Am I just being silly?
Our MVPA also says 50 miles. I am guessing it’s because Tesla might have to put some miles on every car for final inspection, driving it on and off the carrier, moving it around the lot, etc. so they put 50 down because 0 would be dishonest.

Assuming you have VIN / MVPA, I would definitely recommend calling ahead. I mentioned a few pages back that I was rescheduled from Highland Park pickup for home delivery via Chicago - Grand Ave SC (what's listed on my MVPA). Inside Advisor mentioned a lot of deliveries were being rescheduled from there, perhaps just to make room for you Wisconsinites coming from the north into Illinois for a change ;)

Well, today was a great day. Picked the car in Portland. Delivery went smooth. 10 minutes to sign docs, the only wait was the car being detailed, which was no problem. Well... it’s quite the car. The ride, the car software was so impressive. I hope all of you enjoy your car and hope all of you get your cars. Don’t give up, it’s worth the wait. Trust me!
Congratulations! So glad delivery went smoothly for you.

Had a great delivery today at Fremont delivery center. Overall, they seemed busy but not super busy.

Got there about 20 mins early, was told to walk around till they text me. After about 5 minutes the car was ready. It was sitting outside on the lot. Basically there were two guys (seemed like one was being trained) and they just stood around while we checked the car. Was never rushed but they did seem somewhat stressed out.

There were three of us and we checked every inch of the vehicle, going through the checklist. Panel gaps were great - no misalignment anywhere. The paint was in great condition (and car was clean) - found two very small basically pin size spots where it looked like they touched up, one on the passenger-side mirror, the other on the driver-side passenger door. Also the charging port door wasn't sitting completely flush but not too much out whack.

The interior everything was great expect the wood grain dash - it looked as if there were little cuts going along the wood grain. Not really sure if this is normal, perhaps someone can comment. Also, it's clear someone with dirty hands touched the b pillar, some black marks on it but it rubbed off easily.

Was given instructions to report all the defects within 72 hours via my Tesla account online. The delivery guy said it's a "grace period." Bring the car back and they'll try to rectify any problems.

After the car was checked, went inside to do paper work which took literally 3 mins. Had no trade-in or financing (unsecured loan). Signed maybe four places, gave the cashiers check, and given CVRP rebate form and copies of everything signed. After that just setup the car for bluetooth/entry and we were on our way.

Overall, couldn't have been happier with the delivery process. The car is AMAZING (looks, performance, autopilot, audio system, app). Her name is Niki - after grandpa Nikola - and I love her.

50 is something that's standard. All the MVPAs will have the same 50 on them. Our car was delivered with 6 or 7 I think.

Yes. They all say 50. Mine had 10 actual, and one I witnessed delivery on today had 5. Don't fret over the MVPA 50 number.

First time post...
7/19/16: Reserved
7/2/18: Configured (AWD, Aero, EAP, Black, PWP)
7/7/18: Modified (AWD, Aero, EAP, Black, SMP)
9/6/18: Received email to schedule delivery from 9/25 to 10/2; replied within the hour with alternative days and times; never heard back despite multiple follow ups
9/8/18: Attended Kato Event in Fremont; dealt with chaos and was able to get a VIN match for delivery on 9/15
9/14/18: After ~10 calls to Delivery, told that the VIN assigned will not work and offered white interior without extra charge to take delivery on 9/15, which I did not accept (would've been ok with me but wife's strong preference is black). I was rescheduled for 9/29 delivery
9/24-9/26: Called Delivery at least a dozen times to remind them that my delivery was coming up in a few days and still don't have a VIN match. Also went to Tesla Burlingame to see if they could help. Met a number of very helpful people along the way
9/27: Got my VIN 74xxx
Hope it all works out on 9/29

Yes, that's true. However you can't secure final financing w/o an MVPA and VIN. Not everybody can or wants to write a check for $65000->$80,000.

I think Tesla is encouraging people to finance with them. Just before my delivery my account went through a reconfirmation of the delivery information and it was switched to "finance with Tesla" versus the cash that I had set and confirmed weeks earlier. I didn't really look at the option closely but if I remember correctly they guaranteed the best interest rate. You had something like 7 days to find a better rate. So presumably you can finance with the lender of your choice and pay off the Tesla loan. I hope someone who looked at it more closely can confirm.

I called yesterday because I hadn't heard anything from Highland, only my scheduling advisor from Freemont and...

I now have the car! Delivery took a bit but I sort of expected it. They told me to come in and they'd get it for me yesterday. When I arrived it was on an off site storage facility. Took about an hour for them to bring it over, double check it and hand it over.

They apologized a ton about the delays, gave my kids coloring books, went over the car on detail with me even though there was a ton of people there (all of which were being served quickly, I'll add) and were awesome.

They told me Highland Park has over 200 deliveries set for Saturday. If you have a delivery there, you may want to call and see if they can do tomorrow. They were super happy I came in early.

The car is worth the wait.

A couple of additional notes.

My app as of this writing, 2 hours post delivery, still doesn't let me access the car. It still shows mobile access disabled.

DOH! The problem turned out to be mobile access disabled on the car. I thought that was the case yesterday but I couldn't find the setting. Today while I wasn't tunnel visioned with excitement I looked again and found the setting. Now my app sees the car!

I just noticed that the paper that was supposed to have the names of the "Delivery Experience Specialist", "Customer Experience Specialist", "Local Service Center" and "Local Service Number" was completely unfilled out. It also referenced a folder with supporting documents that I will need for my California Rebate. Clearly I need to followup with someone.
