Update on my end as well.

6th appointment today at 10am with no status/confirmation call from Tesla in the last 48hrs.

Showed up at Bellevue SC on time and was promptly greeted by my advisor. I asked if the car was finally ready and he said "yes it is!". I literally got goosebumps.

We started reviewing paperwork when another employee walked up with "bad news..". I don't need to tell you the rest of the story but the car is still 180mi away in Portland.

I asked to speak with the delivery manager, Sirena. She apologized profusely but 'yawn-been-there-done-that' too many times already. When I told her I sold my car 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for my P3D six appointments later, she offered to put me in a loaner until it's resolved.

Small progress today, and it was a nice gesture on her part. No Tesla's available to loan so they stuck me in a Mazda from Enterprise on their dime.

I'm really hoping the number of #uckups combined with the added pressure of an out-of-pocket-expense that racks up every day the car is delayed is enough for them to expedite my delivery. And after this whole mess, I'm hoping they will add some kind of concession to make things right.

I wonder if they will enable EAP since the cost is absorbed and it's a relatively quick SW flash. Since the car has been sitting for a few weeks I'm guessing it needs an update anyway. What do you guys think? Worth asking?

Took delivery in Chicago (Westmont) yesterday. I can't say enough good things about the delivery processes. My DA took me out to the car where we did a 15 minute walk through. She let me check for issues, ask questions, etc. Then once I said I had no more question, we walked back inside, I signed one piece of paper (I did everything else electronic prior to arrival) and I drove off. My DA was so friendly and excited to answer any questions I had. I never felt rushed or like she was trying to hurry things up.

The car was near perfect. Panel gaps look great, paint was flawless.... but there is one small spot where the stitching looks like something tore it on a one inch area of the drivers seat. Didn't see it until the today. It was not an issue when I called the service center. I live two states away in Michigan so they set up valet to pick my car up here and deliver a loaner to me until they could replace the seat.

For everyone still waiting - It. Is. Worth. It.

Every time I read someone post that same sentiment in this thread I thought yes the car is cool but it can't be cool enough to get past the last 2.5 years. I was wrong. If I got asked to wait again, I would wait all 915 days without hesitation. No matter how much I read about the car it never prepared me how amazing the experience of driving it is. The flawless integration of the hardware with the software combine with the beautiful engineering put this car in a class by itself. This car is a game changer for main stream automobiles.

I’m so pissed. They called saying that upon final inspection the car is undeliverable less than 2 hours before my delivery. An issue with the battery. And that it’ll be faster for them to rematch me with a new car than trying to fix this one. so now no delivery, no car, and now I have to wait until tomorrow for the manager to call me to explain the situation. I’m so annoyed. Feeling like canceling this order.

Finally, Tesla contacted me via Email. I have a VIN ! Its in 87xxx range. June 28th configured. The only time I called in was this monday 10/1 and was told I have a delivery advisor, VIN and the car was in transit, but wasnt revealed the vin until today when DA emailed in. I was getting very quick turn around for my replies. Hope all those limbo orders like mine get cleared up pretty quick now from June/previous months. :)

My car is also a MSM AWD and in the 87xxx range. We are probably car brothers!

I called back the ISA who tried to assign me a car on Tuesday. That one feel through and I hadn't heard anything since.

She tells me Tuesday that a new VIN was assigned and it's being transported now with an ETA of 10/17. She said I'll get the new version of VIN/ MVPA a few days before delivery and a DA will be in contact you schedule delivery.

Hoping for the best, but my confidence is pretty low after the September debacle

So I had them update the site to include my Oct. 22 delivery and as soon as they did the VIN disappeared. I'm inquiring now, but it appears that since the delivery is 7 days out (as some have reported), the site automatically suppresses the VIN.

I don't know if this is the same sort of thing but when we were waiting for our car, we had been in communications with an ISDA and they confirmed our date and it appeared on our account. However later that evening we noticed that our Prepare for Documents section then became unchecked. We called and spoke with her concerned it was now gone and was told over the phone that they could see our submitted documents (license, insurance etc) and whatever we do don't resubmit them -- that we were fine. So we didn't and we were fine. Didn't notice the MVPA but it was there at the delivery for us to sign.

Interesting. Did you have to pay the difference for the white interior, or was it a gratuitous swap?

I paid the difference. My doc fee stayed at $1000, though. I was a little concerned it would jump to $1200.

So they had inventory?

Yep. One car identical to my config, but with white interior at the Decatur service center near my house.

How long before scheduled/completed delivery did you guys actually find out you had a DS assigned? And at what point did they first contact you? I'm curious because I feel like I'm my own delivery specialist - I make a bunch of calls and figure things out on my own.

@fallen888: I got my first contact from DA today morning via email with the message : "congratulations on your new Tesla and thank you for accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy! " . I'm xxxxx, your Delivery Advisor, etc etc. I was asked to fill in Insurance and Finance approval information and couldnt fill in since I needed VIN as I live in Texas. After 3-4 email exchanges she gave me my VIN# and I filled in those sections in an hour. My delivery is next week and I called on monday 10/1 and enquired on my order status and was told my DA is xxxxx and she would reach out to me soon. Also, the tesla agent was able to tell that I had a vin and that my vehicle is in transit. Do let tesla check your order and make sure they consider it fine. Best of luck !

Not to me... but some folks seem to get very very upset/defensive when you suggest the $10,000 upgrade they bought is just software.

Which is weird since people happily pay about that much for EAP/FSD knowing for sure that's software.

People want something special. They do get something special. If they line up next to me in my non p AWD, they will be almost a second faster. Now yes, I can figure out how to hack the software and make mine go P speeds (no clue how but technically could) but it would void my warranty. The P buyer is paying for the potentially higher chance at a warranty claim too. May not be a significantly less dependable car, but higher stresses on the same hardware is going to equal more claims.
+ a bunch of people got free supercharging with their P version. That’s worth a little!

I would if I could get my money back.
