Battery/Powertrain Cooling

Does anyone have technical details of how the coolant system works for the battery, power electronics, and motor(s)?

I'm particularly interested in the heat pump and how effective that is at keeping the temps down.

• Is there a separate coolant compressor (AC vs. battery cooling)?
• Can a typical 60,000BTU system really make much of a dent in the temperatures?
• Can the pack and motor be "pre-chilled" for 0-60 launches?
• Do diagrams of the system exist?

The P90D has an option to pre-heat the battery for faster 0-60 sprints. Chilling the battery is better for longevity but heating is better for performance.

I think it would be great to be able to pre-chill the battery. Increased thermal buffer for SpC or hot days.

I'd like that feature, it shouldn't be too hard to do, if nav destination is a SC and SOC < x then set battery temperature set point lower y miles before arrival.

Or just make it user selectable, same as the pre heat option in the P90D

I'd be happy if they just made it possible to pre-heat the battery on cold mornings so I could get full regen. I know pre-heating the interior kind of helps, but it's a pretty mediocre workaround.
